My Happy Place
''My Happy Place'' is the fourth studio album by British singer Emma Bunton. It was released on 12 April 2019 by BMG Rights Management. The album consists of ten tracks; eight are cover versions of some of Bunton's favourite songs and two are original songs co-written by the singer. Background and development The album was inspired by 1960's sounds, like motown and sixties pop. In January 2010, Bunton stated that she had no plans to record a new album. She stated that while she loves singing, in her view it takes a lot of time and work to promote an album, and said that she would rather focus her time on her son Beau, who was born in 2007. In February 2018, it was reported that Bunton was secretly recording new music. Bunton officially acknowledged the fact that she was recording new music on '' This Morning'' in June 2018. Emma Lee Bunton (born 21 January 1976) is an English singer, songwriter, actress, and media personality. She rose to fame in the 1990s as a member of the girl group Spice Girls, in which she was nicknamed Baby Spice. With over 100 million records sold worldwide, the group became the best-selling female group of all time. The Official Albums Chart is a list of albums ranked by physical and digital sales and (from March 2015) audio streaming in the United Kingdom. It was published for the first time on 22 July 1956 and is compiled every week by the Official Charts Company (OCC) on Fridays (previously Sundays). It is broadcast on BBC Radio 1 (top 5) and found on the OCC website as a Top 100 or on UKChartsPlus as a Top 200, with positions continuing until all sales have been tracked in data only available to industry insiders. However, even though number 100 was classed as a hit album (as in the case of The Guinness Book of British Hit Albums) in the 1980s until January 1989, since the compilations were removed this definition was changed to Top 75 with follow-up books such as The Virgin Book of British Hit Albums book only including this data. April M. Coates (born 6 September 1970) is an Australian singer, songwriter and producer who performs as Cheyne Coates or Cheyne. Coates (lead vocals) and Andrew Van Dorsselaer (a.k.a. Andy Van) (DJ and background vocals) comprised the duo Madison Avenue (1998–2003). "Don't Call Me Baby" is a song by Australian house music duo Madison Avenue (band), Madison Avenue, taken as the first single from their only studio album, ''The Polyester Embassy'' (2000). Written by Cheyne Coates, Andy Van Dorsselaer, Duane Morrison, and Giuseppe Chierchia, the song includes a bassline sample from "Ma Quale Idea" by Italo disco artist Pino D'Angiò, which in turn is based on "Ain't No Stoppin' Us Now" by McFadden & Whitehead. Michael Edwin Hawker (29 November 1936 – 4 May 2014) was an English songwriter. Biography Born in Bath, Somerset, he lived as a child in Singapore, where his father was stationed in the Royal Air Force, before returning to settle with relatives in Barnsley, Yorkshire. After attending university, he spent time with the RAF in Europe, and started writing concert reviews of American jazz musicians, which he submitted to such magazines as the '' New Musical Express'' and ''Jazz Journal''. He started working in the publicity department at EMI in the late 1950s, and then moved into promotion work with Larry Parnes. He started writing songs around 1960, and linked up with composer John Schroeder to write lyrics for producer Norrie Paramor's young protégée Helen Shapiro. Candice "Candie" Payne (born 19 December 1981) is an English singer and songwriter. She released her debut album, '' I Wish I Could Have Loved You More'', on Deltasonic in May 2007. She is the sister of singer/songwriter Howie Payne, former frontman of band the Stands, and Sean Payne, the drummer of the Zutons. Early life Payne was born in Liverpool in 1981.
