My Greatest Adventure
''My Greatest Adventure'' was a DC Comics comic book that began in 1955 and is best known for introducing the superhero team Doom Patrol. Publication history The title was originally an anthology series with adventure stories told in the first person narrative. Over time the types of stories changed from simple adventure to science fiction. With issue #80 (June 1963), the anthology format was dropped and replaced with stories featuring the Doom Patrol. Issue #85 was the last to bear the ''My Greatest Adventure'' title; the series was renamed ''The Doom Patrol'' going forward from issue #86. Issues #80-85 were reprinted as part of ''The Doom Patrol Archives, Vol. 1'' (2002, {{ISBN, 1-56389-795-4). Alex Toth
Alexander Toth (June 25, 1928 – May 27, 2006) was an American cartoonist active from the 1940s through the 1980s. Toth's work began in the American comic book industry, but he is also known for his animation designs for Hanna-Barbera throughout the 1960s and 1970s. His work included ''Super Friends'', ''Fantastic Four (1967 TV series), Fantastic Four'', ''Space Ghost (TV series), Space Ghost'', ''Sealab 2020'', ''The Herculoids'' and ''Birdman and the Galaxy Trio, Birdman''. An autobiography, sometimes informally called an autobio, is a self-written account of one's own life. It is a form of biography. Definition The word "autobiography" was first used deprecatingly by William Taylor in 1797 in the English periodical ''The Monthly Review'', when he suggested the word as a hybrid, but condemned it as "pedantic". However, its next recorded use was in its present sense, by Robert Southey in 1809. Despite only being named early in the nineteenth century, first-person autobiographical writing originates in antiquity. Mento is a superhero appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. Mento appeared in his first live adaptation on the first season of the ''Doom Patrol'' television series for DC Universe played by Will Kemp and Dave Bielawski. Fictional character biography Steve Dayton, the world's fifth richest man, builds a helmet to enhance his mental abilities and calls himself Mento. The New 52
The New 52 is the 2011 revamp and relaunch by DC Comics of its entire line of ongoing monthly superhero comic books. Following the conclusion of the " Flashpoint" crossover storyline, DC canceled all its existing titles and debuted 52 new series in September 2011. Among the renumbered series were ''Action Comics'' and '' Detective Comics'', which had retained their original numbering since the 1930s. The relaunch included changes to the publishing format; for example, print and digital comics began to be released on the same day. New titles were released to bring the number of ongoing monthly series to 52. Various changes were also made to DC's fictional universe to entice new readers, including changes to DC's internal continuity to make characters more modern and accessible. Teen Titans
The Teen Titans are a superhero team appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics, frequently in eponymous monthly series. As the group's name indicates, the members are teenage superheroes, many of whom have acted as sidekicks to DC's premier superheroes in the Justice League. The original team later becomes known as the Titans when the members age out of their teenage years, while the Teen Titans name is continued by subsequent generations of young heroes.
