My Greatest Adventure
''My Greatest Adventure'' was a DC Comics comic book that began in 1955 and is best known for introducing the superhero team Doom Patrol. Publication history The title was originally an anthology series with adventure stories told in the first person narrative. Over time the types of stories changed from simple adventure to science fiction. With issue #80 (June 1963), the anthology format was dropped and replaced with stories featuring the Doom Patrol. Issue #85 was the last to bear the ''My Greatest Adventure'' title; the series was renamed ''The Doom Patrol'' going forward from issue #86. Issues #80-85 were reprinted as part of ''The Doom Patrol Archives, Vol. 1'' (2002, {{ISBN, 1-56389-795-4). Alex Toth
Alexander Toth (June 25, 1928 – May 27, 2006) was an American cartoonist active from the 1940s through the 1980s. Toth's work began in the American comic book industry, but he is also known for his animation designs for Hanna-Barbera throughout the 1960s and 1970s. His work included ''Super Friends'', ''Fantastic Four (1967 TV series), Fantastic Four'', ''Space Ghost (TV series), Space Ghost'', ''Sealab 2020'', ''The Herculoids'' and ''Birdman and the Galaxy Trio, Birdman''. Autobiography
An autobiography, sometimes informally called an autobio, is a self-written account of one's own life. It is a form of biography. Definition The word "autobiography" was first used deprecatingly by William Taylor in 1797 in the English periodical ''The Monthly Review'', when he suggested the word as a hybrid, but condemned it as "pedantic". However, its next recorded use was in its present sense, by Robert Southey in 1809. Despite only being named early in the nineteenth century, first-person autobiographical writing originates in antiquity. Roy Pascal differentiates autobiography from the periodic self-reflective mode of journal or diary writing by noting that " utobiographyis a review of a life from a particular moment in time, while the diary, however reflective it may be, moves through a series of moments in time". Mento is a superhero appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. Mento appeared in his first live adaptation on the first season of the ''Doom Patrol'' television series for DC Universe played by Will Kemp and Dave Bielawski. Publication history Mento first appeared in ''Doom Patrol'' #91 (November 1964) and was created by Arnold Drake and Bruno Premiani. Fictional character biography Steve Dayton, the world's fifth richest man, builds a helmet to enhance his mental abilities and calls himself Mento. This is an attempt on Dayton's part to impress Elasti-Girl (a.k.a. Rita Farr) of the Doom Patrol. Although his arrogant manner annoys the male field members of the team, he is successful, and in ''Doom Patrol'' #104 (June 1966), Mento and Elasti-Girl are married.
