My Daughter The Broad
''My Daughter the Broad'' is an album by the American band the Frogs, released in 1996. It is a compilation of improvised homemade recordings that were mostly recorded in the late 1980s. Many of the songs continue themes from '' It's Only Right and Natural'', such as homosexual supremacy and social conservative fears. The album introduces two new personas of Dennis Flemion, with distinct-sounding voices, a geriatric pervert and the high-pitched murderer Jack, as in the songs "Reelin' and Rockin #1" and "I'm Evil, Jack." Fans often request songs from the album in concert, but the band refuses to play some of them because of the difficulties involved with re-creating an improvisation in a live setting. The title was inspired by Mudhoney's ''My Brother the Cow''. Dennis Flemion
Dennis Flemion (June 6, 1955 – July 7, 2012) was a founding member, with his younger brother Jimmy, of the controversial independent rock band The Frogs. He was the primary percussionist for the band and was also a temporary member of The Smashing Pumpkins from 1996 to 1997, filling in on live keyboards following the death of Jonathan Melvoin. The Flemion brothers also appeared on "Medellia of the Gray Skies" on the band's single for " Tonight, Tonight". On '' Adore'', the brothers backed vocals for "To Sheila" and "Behold! The Night-Mare". On July 7, 2012, Flemion accidentally drowned while swimming in a lake in Racine County, Wisconsin. He was 57. Jimmy Flemion is a founding member, with his older brother Dennis Flemion, of controversial independent rock band The Frogs. Jimmy is mostly the lead singer and guitarist for the group. He has been known to play solo shows with just an acoustic guitar. In 1996, the brothers toured with The Smashing Pumpkins on the ''Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness Tour''. During the encores of "1979", Jimmy, clad with a silver bat-winged suit, would pick members of the audience to dance onstage. ''My Brother the Cow'' is the fourth studio album by the American grunge band Mudhoney. It was released on Reprise Records on March 28, 1995 (see 1995 in music). ''My Brother the Cow'' includes numerous direct references to bands that influenced Mudhoney's sound. The song "F.D.K. (Fearless Doctor Killers)", for example, is a reference to the Bad Brains song "F.V.K. (Fearless Vampire Killers)". "Orange Ball-Peen Hammer" alludes to the song "Orange Claw Hammer" by Captain Beefheart, as well as containing lyrics borrowed from Led Zeppelin. "1995" is homage to the song "1969" by The Stooges, and also includes musical references to "L.A. Blues", another Stooges song. The original CD release includes a 34-minute hidden track named "woC eht rehtorB yM", which consists of most of the album's preceding songs played backwards. Mudhoney
Mudhoney is an American rock band formed in Seattle, Washington, in 1988, following the demise of Green River. Its members are singer and rhythm guitarist Mark Arm, lead guitarist Steve Turner, bassist Guy Maddison and drummer Dan Peters. Original bassist Matt Lukin left the band in 1999. The Frogs were an American rock music band founded in 1980, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, by brothers Jimmy and Dennis Flemion.
