Mwangi Kiunjuri
Kiunjuri Festus Mwangi (born January 18, 1968) is a Kenyan politician. He was born in kenju village in Kangema constituency, Muranga county. He has held various political and government positions with his most recent role being the CS agriculture. A section of the mt kenya region believe he Is among, if not , uhuru's successor as the region's leader and spokesperson. Political life Kiunjuri has served as an elected Member of Parliament and has also served in the Kenyan cabinet in various capacities. His last appointment was as Cabinet Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries, and Irrigation, a position he was appointed to by H.E President Uhuru Kenyatta in 2018 and relieved on 14 January 2020 n. He belonged to the Party of National Unity and was elected to represent the Laikipia East Constituency in the National Assembly of Kenya in the 2007 Kenyan parliamentary election up to 2013. Kangema Constituency
Kangema Constituency is an electoral constituency in Muranga County, Kenya. It encompasses Kangema township which is the headquarters of the newly created Murang'a North District. Murang'a North is a heavily populated district of the Central Province and it covers a vast portion of the Aberdare Ranges. The economic mainstay for Kangema is agriculture, most of the land being under Tea, Coffee, wattle and subsistence food crops. There is vibrant trade of consumer goods in the township and the adjacent towns of Gakira, Gitugu, Kiairathe Kanyenya-ini and Rwathia. Democratic Party (Kenya)
The Democratic Party (DP) is a conservative political party in Kenya. The party was founded in 1991 by John Keen and Mwai Kibaki after section 2A of the constitution was repealed. At the legislative elections, 27 December 2002, the party was a partner in the National Rainbow Coalition, which won 56.1% of the popular vote and 125 out of 210 elected seats. The party itself took 36 of these seats. At the presidential elections of the same day, the party supported Kibaki, who won 62.2% and was elected. At the 2007 Kenyan general election, the Democratic Party formed part of the Party of National Unity led by Kibaki. One of the DP's members, Wilfred Machage, was named a cabinet minister in the half cabinet which Kibaki named prior to the formation of the Grand Coalition government. Anne Mumbi Waiguru, EGH, (born 16 April 1971) is the second Governor of Kirinyaga County in Kenya, who has been in office since 22 August 2017. Moi University is a public university located in Kesses, Eldoret town, Uasin Gishu county, in the former Rift Valley Province of Kenya. It was established in 1984 by the Moi University Act of the Parliament of Kenya, after recommendations from the McKay Commission. Murang'a County
Murang'a County is one of the counties of Kenya's former Central Province. Its largest town and capital is Murang'a, formerly referred to as Fort Hall during the colonial era. It is inhabited mainly by and is considered the home of the Gikuyu, the largest ethnic group in Kenya. The county has a population of 1,056,640 based on the 2019 census.
