Muska
Marija "Muska" Babitzin (born 28 June 1952 in Helsinki, Finland) is a Finnish singer. She became famous in 1971 with "Kirjoita postikorttiin" ('Write on the postcard'), a cover version of Send Me a Postcard by Shocking Blue. Her first, eponymous album was released in 1973. It featured the hit "Krokotiili-rock" (cover of Crocodile Rock by Elton John). Muska participated with her brother Georgij "Ykä" Babitzin in the Finnish national final of Eurovision Song Contest, Euroviisut 1974. The entry "Senhän sanoo järkikin" came sixth. In 1979 she again participated in the Finnish national final with her brother Kirka Babitzin and sister Anna Babitzin. Send Me A Postcard
"Send Me a Postcard" is a song written by Robbie van Leeuwen, and recorded by Shocking Blue in 1968. With lyrics in Swedish by Per Gessle, the song was recorded in 1980 by Gyllene Tider, as "Skicka ett vykort, älskling". Finnish version of the song "Kirjoita postikorttiin" was recorded by Muska as her debut single in 1971 and first hit song. A Turkish version of the song "Aşk Çiçeği" (Flower of Love) was released by the band '' Mavi Işıklar'' in 1971. "Send Me a Postcard" was covered by Loog on their 1995 album '' Meltdown House'', but was generally unknown in the US until Ladytron's Softcore Jukebox compilation was released in 2003. Sammy Babitzin
Aleksandr "Sammy" Babitzin (11 July 1948 – 29 April 1973) was a Finnish popular music singer, the brother of Kirka and Muska. Babitzin was born in Helsinki. He started his professional career in a band called The Stealers. Its line-up also included Remu Aaltonen. Babitzin sang in the group of Leo Lindblom under the pseudonym "Sammy-boy". Sammy Babitzin released his first single in 1966. Many of his songs were duets recorded together with his brother. Babitzin won the "Syksyn Sävel" song contest (MTV3) in 1972 with the song "Daa-da daa-da". Other successful hits included "Kuin tuhka tuuleen" (orig.
