Moosi River is a tributary of the Krishna River in the Deccan Plateau flowing through Telangana state in India. Hyderabad stands on the banks of Muchukunda River or Moosa river, which divides the historic old city and the new city. Himayat Sagar and Osman Sagar are dams built on it which used to act as source of water for Hyderabad. The river was known as Nerva during Qutub Shahi period. The river originates in Ananthagiri Hills near Vikarabad. It generally flows in easterly direction, turning South at Chittaloor. Musi Language
Palembang, also known as Palembang Malay (), or Musi, is a Malayic language primarily spoken in about two thirds of South Sumatra Province in Indonesia, especially along the Musi River. It consists of two separate but mutually intelligible dialect chains: Musi and Palembang. The urban Palembang dialect is a koiné that emerged in Palembang, the capital city of South Sumatra. It has become a ''lingua franca'' throughout major population centers in the province, and is often used polyglossically with Indonesian and other regional languages and dialects in the area. Since parts of South Sumatra used to be under direct Malay and Javanese rule for quite a long time, the speech varieties of Palembang and its surrounding area are significantly influenced by Malay Language and Javanese, down to their core vocabularies. Angelo Musi
Angelo Musi, Jr. (July 25, 1918 – October 19, 2009) was an American professional basketball player. A 5'9" guard from Temple University, Musi played three seasons (1946–1949) in the Basketball Association of America as a member of the Philadelphia Warriors. He averaged 8.4 points per game in his BAA career and won a league championship in 1947. Musi died on October 19, 2009, at his home in Philadelphia. He was 91 years old. Retrieved January 1, 2011. Agostino Veneziano
Agostino Veneziano ("Venetian Agostino"), whose real name was Agostino de' Musi (c. 1490 – c. 1540), was an important and prolific Italian engraver of the Renaissance. Life Veneziano was born in Venice, where he trained as an artist, though his teacher is unknown. He initially copied prints by Albrecht Dürer and Giulio Campagnola from about 1512-14, and then producing his own works, somewhat in the style of the latter. He spent some time in Florence around 1515-16. He moved to Rome, perhaps as early as 1514, and by 1516 had joined the printmaking workshop of Marcantonio Raimondi, of which he was one of the most important members until it was broken up by the Sack of Rome in 1527. Unlike many produced by the workshop, most of Agostino's plates avoided being confiscated and melted down by Charles V's soldiers, and continued to be printed in later years.
