Murung Raya Regency
Murung Raya Regency is the most northerly of the thirteen regencies (''kabupaten'') which comprise the province of Central Kalimantan on the island of Borneo, Indonesia. The capital of the regency is Puruk Cahu. Prior to the 2002 reorganization, this regency was part of the North Barito Regency. The regency had a population of 96,857 inhabitants at the 2010 census (an increase from 74,050 within the current area at the previous census in 2000)and 111,527 at the 2020 census. Administrative Districts Murung Raya Regency consists of ten districts (''kecamatan''), tabulated below with their areas and population totals from the 2010 census and the 2020 census. North Barito Regency ( id, Kabupaten Barito Utara) is one of the thirteen regencies which divide the Central Kalimantan Province on the island of Kalimantan, Indonesia. It originally included much more of the northern part of the province, but on 10 April 2002 the larger northwestern part of the regency was split off to create a new Murung Raya Regency. Shorea
Fruit of a ''Shorea'' species ''Shorea'' is a genus of about 196 species of mainly rainforest trees in the family Dipterocarpaceae. The genus is named after Sir John Shore, the governor-general of the British East India Company, 1793–1798. ''Eusideroxylon zwageri'' is a rare timber tree native to the Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia and Philippines region. It is known colloquially in English as Bornean ironwood, billian, or ulin. Orangutan
Orangutans are great apes native to the rainforests of Indonesia and Malaysia. They are now found only in parts of Borneo and Sumatra, but during the Pleistocene they ranged throughout Southeast Asia and South China.
