Murphy Troy
Murphy Edward Troy (born May 31, 1989) is a former American volleyball player, a member of the United States men's national volleyball team, NORCECA Champion 2013, gold medalist of Pan-American Cup 2012 and World League 2014. Personal life Murphy Troy married his long-time girlfriend Blair Tarnutzer on October 29, 2016 in La Quinta, California. Troy enjoys visiting his sister Sarah "Sadie" Troy in Virginia, where she has worked as a Historical Interpreter at Thomas Jefferson's Monticello since 2014. Career Clubs In 2014 Troy moved from France to Polish club Lotos Trefl Gdańsk. On April 19, 2015 he achieved Polish Cup, which is first trophy of Lotos Trefl Gdańsk in history of club. He was awarded a title of ''Best Server'' of tournament. Then he won with Polish club silver medal of Polish Championship. In May 2015 signed new one-year contract with Lotos Trefl Gdańsk. Men's Pan-American Volleyball Cup
The Men's Pan-American Volleyball Cup is a men's volleyball tournament organized by NORCECA. Initially, only NORCECA teams participated, but CSV teams have been invited since 2010. The event served as a qualifier for World League and the America's Cup. Now, the event serves as an America qualifier for the Pan American Games classification. The women have their own equivalent of the tournament, the Women's Pan-American Cup. La Quinta, California
La Quinta ( Spanish for "The Fifth") is a desert resort city in Riverside County, California, United States. Located between Indian Wells and Indio, it is one of the nine cities of the Coachella Valley. The population was 37,467 at the 2010 census, up from 23,694 at the 2000 census. United States Men's National Volleyball Team
The United States men's national volleyball team represents the country in international competitions and friendly matches. The team is governed by USA Volleyball. The team has won five Olympic medals, including three gold. History As the birthplace of volleyball, the United States founded the first association to regulate the sport. The United States Volleyball Association was formed in 1927, and was the founding member of FIVB in 1947. However, by the time of volleyball's international growth in the 1940s, the US was no longer a major power. They competed in the inaugural volleyball Olympic tournament in 1964. The US returned to the elite in the 1980s, winning the FIVB World Championship in 1986 in Paris, as well as four golds at the Pan American Games and eight at the NORCECA Championships. Volleyball
Volleyball is a team sport in which two teams of six players are separated by a net. Each team tries to score points by grounding a ball on the other team's court under organized rules. It has been a part of the official program of the Summer Olympic Games since Tokyo 1964. Beach volleyball was introduced to the programme at the Atlanta 1996. The adapted version of volleyball at the Summer Paralympic Games is sitting volleyball.
