Muran (film)
''Muran'' () is a 2011 Indian Tamil-language action thriller film written and directed by debutant Rajan Madhav. It stars Cheran alongside Prasanna, with Haripriya, Nikita Thukral and Jayaprakash in pivotal roles. Launched in September 2010, the film's shooting was completed by July 2011. The story revolves around two contrasting characters and depicts the incidents that occur when they meet each other. The film is highly inspired by Alfred Hitchcock's psychological thriller '' Strangers on a Train'' (1951). Co-produced and distributed by UTV Motion Pictures, ''Muran'' was released on 30 September 2011 to overall positive reviews. Rajan Madhav
Rajan Babu (born Chennai, India, 31 May 1975) is an Indian film director, screenwriter, working predominantly in Tamil cinema based in Chennai. Having born into a family that appreciates all forms of cinema, he has imbibed the quality to breathe in the nuances of the cinema. This can be clearly seen in his debut film '' Muran''. Ranjith K. Govind (born 21 February 1977), also known as K.G. Ranjith, is an Indian playback singer, working in the Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada film industries and has sung more than 2500 songs. Early life Ranjith was born in Chennai, India into a Malayali family, hailing from Kalluvazhi, Kerala. He grew up listening to various kinds of music.
