Mumbai–Pune Mail
Mumbai–Pune Mail (started as Bombay–Poona Mail) or Poona Mail was a luxurious train on Mumbai–Pune section by the Great Indian Peninsula Railway. It was the first intercity train started between Mumbai and Pune. This train and the famous Deccan Queen, Deccan Queen Express used to serve Mumbai Pune commuters for many years. Started as Mail in 1863, it was 303 Poona Mail in 1964. Got extension to Miraj past GC as 303 Bombay Mail in 1971 & become 303 Mahalaxmi Express during 1974 with final extension to Kolhapur. During Poona–Bangalore MG era, this connects 902 MG Poona Mail (Poona–Bangalore till 1971), 304 MG Bombay Mail (Miraj–Bangalore 1971–1974) & 304 MG Mahalaxmi Express (Miraj–Bangalore 1974 onwards till Miraj–Bangalore GC) by Section Carriage Interchanged at Poona & later at Miraj. Sahyadri Express
Named after the famous Sahyadri mountain range that forms part of the Western Ghats in Maharashtra, 11023 / 11024 Sahyadri Express was one of 3 daily dedicated express trains managed by Indian Railways, that ply between Mumbai and Kolhapur in India. The other two daily trains on the Mumbai and Kolhapur run are 11029/30 Koyna Express & 17411/12 Mahalaxmi Express. Mumbai–Pune Passenger
Mumbai – Pune passenger was a daily slow passenger train connecting the cities of Mumbai and Pune. This train originated from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus and terminated at Pune Junction. This train used to travel via Kalyan and used to stop at all stations on the route. However this was shut down due to inconvenience by Central Railway because this created congestion to Mumbai CST–Pandharpur Fast Passenger, Mumbai CST–Bijapur Fast Passenger and Mumbai CST–Sainagar Shirdi Fast Passenger. It used to operate as 1325 from Mumbai to Pune and 1326 from Pune to Mumbai. It used to leave Mumbai at 22:50 and leave Pune at 23:40. Mumbai–Pune Shatabdi Express
Mumbai–Pune Shatabdi was a train in Shatabdi series of Indian Railways. This was the first dedicated high priority train of Indian Railways between Mumbai and Pune. This was fully air conditioned train. This train used to run in morning 6:45 AM from Mumbai and reach Pune at 09.45 AM and leave Pune at 5:45 PM and reach Mumbai at 8:45 PM in evening. The Pragati Superfast Express is a daily Intercity Express train plying between Pune and Mumbai via . It is operated by the Central Railways, a zonal railway under the larger Indian Railways. The 22105/22106 Indrayani Superfast Express is a superfast express train belonging to Indian Railways that runs between Mumbai CSMT and Pune Junction in India. It is a daily service and is named after the river Indrayani flowing near Pune. The train earlier numbered as 1021 while running from Mumbai to Pune and 1022 from Pune to Mumbai, has now been upgraded to superfast and renumbered as 22105 (Mumbai CSMT - Pune Junction) and 22106 (Pune Junction - Mumbai CSMT).
