12951/12952 Mumbai Central - New Delhi - Mumbai Central Tejas Rajdhani is a semi-high-speed Fully AC Train belonging to Indian Railways that runs between (MMCT) and (NDLS) in India. It is the fastest Rajdhani service in all of India, with a maximum permissible speed of 130 km/h, although its all coaches are of air conditioned Tejas type which is capable of reaching 160 km/h. History It was introduced on 17 May 1972 between the then Bombay Central (MMCT) and New Delhi. The train became so popular that prior to the introduction of current reservation facility its reservation chart was prepared just 15 minutes before the scheduled departure of the train. It is a daily service. It operates as train number 12951 from to and as train number 12952 in the reverse direction. It is hauled by Ghaziabad-based WAP7 end to end. The Tejas-Rajdhani Express is a Higher-speed rail, semi-high-speed train operated in India. Indian Railways started to upgrade Rajdhani Express, Rajdhani coaches to Tejas Express, Tejas coaches. This replaced its traditional LHB coach, LHB Rajdhani coaches. By using Tejas Express, Tejas smart coach, Indian Railways aims to move to predictive maintenance instead of preventive maintenance. This also increases to maximum speed to and top operating speed to . On 15 February 2021,the Agartala–Anand Vihar Terminal Rajdhani Express, Agartala Rajdhani Express was upgraded with Tejas livery Sleeper coaches. On 19 July 2021, the Mumbai Rajdhani Express was upgraded to Tejas class smart coaches. On 1 September 2021 the Rajendra Nagar Patna Rajdhani Express was upgraded to Tejas rakes.
