''Mujer'' (Spanish: "Woman") is the title of the first album by Spanish singer Marta Sánchez. Released in 1993, it was produced by Christian De Walden and Ralf Stemmann. History and success The album's first single "Desesperada" was an instant success in Mexico and Spain, reaching #1 in both countries and #9 on the '' Billboard'' Hot Latin Tracks. ''Mujer''at ''Billboard'' For this single, the artist won "Best Dance Song" at the 1994 Eres Awards in México. The second single "De Mujer a Mujer" was another hit. "Tal Vez" (co-written by Thomas Anders of Modern Talking fame) and "Nube de Verano" were released as third and fourth singles, respectively, in Latin America. ''Barcos de Cristal'' (Spanish for "Crystal Ships") is the title of the fifth studio album by singer-songwriter & producer Thomas Anders. It is his first solo album to be sung in Spanish. It was released in 1994 in the United States for Latin America, and was produced by Ralf Stemmann and Christian De Walden (Marta Sánchez). Tim Pierce
Tim Pierce (born 1959 in Albuquerque) is an American session guitarist. He has worked for artists such as Joe Cocker, Crowded House, Goo Goo Dolls, Michael Jackson, Beth Hart, Roger Waters, Alice Cooper, Johnny Hallyday, Phil Collins, and the Cheetah Girls. Pierce's parents were not musicians, although, unbeknownst to Pierce, his father used to play the trumpet in his youth. He first tasted mainstream success in the early 1980s, when he began recording with Rick Springfield, who was emerging as one of rock's biggest stars with his hit "Jessie's Girl". In addition to playing on the studio recordings that followed, he also joined Springfield's touring band throughout the 1980s and appears in several of Springfield's music videos from the era. Bernd Weidung (born 1 March 1963), known by his stage name Thomas Anders, is a German singer, songwriter and record producer. He is best known as the lead vocalist of the pop duo Modern Talking. Starting his singing career while still in school, Anders unsuccessfully attempted to establish himself as a Schlager artist for several years. After forming the Eurodisco duo Modern Talking with Dieter Bohlen in 1983, they became a worldwide sensation with their hit "You're My Heart, You're My Soul". Paulo Ricardo Oliveira Nery de Medeiros (born 23 September 1962), better known as Paulo Ricardo, is a Brazilian rock singer, songwriter, composer, musician, record producer and occasional actor. Early life In his childhood he listened to Nat King Cole and the collections of the famous Big Bands from Toquinho, Vinícius de Morais and Maria Creuza. He joined the band Prisma in the late 1970s and also founded the band Aura in the early 1980s. He rode with a keyboard player Luiz Schiavon, formed Aura, without expressive results. Like all ''Billboard'' album charts, the chart is based on sales. Nielsen SoundScan compiles the sales data from merchants representing more than 90 percent of the U.S. music retail market. The sample includes sales at music stores, the music departments of electronics and department stores, direct-to-consumer transactions, and Internet sales of physical albums or digital downloads. A limited array of verifiable sales from concert venues is also tabulated. To rank on this chart, an album must have 51% or more of its content recorded in Spanish.
