Mufti Jafar Hussain
Mufti Jafar Hussan ( ur, مفتی جعفر حسین; 1914 - 29 August 1983) was an Indian, then Pakistani, Shia Islamic scholar. Life His father Hakeem Charagh Deen took his son to his uncle Hakeem Shahab-ul-deen to teach his son the basics of Islam. His uncle started teaching him Quran and Arabic from the age of five until seven. He started learning Hadith and jurisprudence at the age of seven from other scholars. Then he went to Lucknow with Mirza Ahmad Ali Marhoom to learn more Islamic education at the Madrassa-e-nazmia, where he won prizes. After getting education there for nine years he went to Houza-e-Najaf-e-ashraf, Iraq in 1935. There he gained much knowledge from many scholars including Syed Abu al-Hassan Esfahani for five years. Syed Jawad Naqvi
Syed Jawad Naqvi ( ur, ; born 1952) is a Pakistani philosopher, scholar, Religious Leader, Quranic interpreter and theologian of Twelver Shi'ism, Twelver Shia. Early life and family details He was born on 5 March 1952 in a village named Thipra Syedan, of Haripur District, of Khyber Pakhtunkwa, Pakistan. Career He has studied Islam in Iran for more than three decades. His most prominent teacher was Abdollah Javadi-Amoli. Naqvi is the principal of Jamia Urwa-tul-Wusqa and Jamia Jaffria, seminaries in Lahore and Gujranwala respectively. Shaikh Muhammad Hussain Najafi ( ar, آيت الله العظمى علامه شيخ محمد حسين) (born 1932) is a Pakistani Twelver Shia Marja. As of current, there are two maraji of Pakistani descent. The first one is he himself and the second one is Basheer Hussain Najafi. As Basheer Hussain Najafi has chosen to reside in Najaf, Iraq, Muhammad Hussain Najafi is the only marja in Pakistan.
