MuchDance
''MuchDance'' is a series of pop/dance albums featuring various artists compiled, mixed and released by the Canadian television station MuchMusic, beginning in 1997. It continues a similar series released in association with Quality Records from 1990 to 1997 under the name ''Muchmusic Dance Mix''. In addition to the ordinary albums in the series, MuchMusic also released albums such as ''MuchDance 80's'' (2005) that included classics like Paula Abdul's "Straight Up." There has also been a volume of ''MuchDance 90s'' released, along with two #1 hits compilations. In Quebec, the album were distributed under the name ''DansePlus'' until 2019, based upon the former channel, MusiquePlus. Yazoo (band)
Yazoo (known as Yaz in North America) were an English synth-pop duo from Basildon, Essex, consisting of former Depeche Mode member Vince Clarke (keyboards) and Alison Moyet (vocals). The duo formed in late 1981 after Clarke responded to an advertisement Moyet placed in a British music magazine, although the pair had known each other since their schooldays. Over the next 18 months the duo released two albums, ''Upstairs at Eric's'' and '' You and Me Both'', which received critical acclaim for their production, particularly the blending of Clarke's synthesizer melodies with Moyet's blues- and soul-influenced vocals. Jomanda was an American female house music vocal trio from New Jersey. Members included Joanne Thomas, Cheri Williams, and Renee Washington. Biography Jomanda had several hits on the US ''Billboard'' Hot Dance Club Play chart during the first half of the 1990s, including "Got a Love for You," which reached #1 in 1991. Soho was an English musical trio, consisting of identical sisters Jacqueline (Jacqui) Cuff and Pauline Cuff, with producer Tim London (also known as Timothy Brinkhurst). Enigma (German Band)
Enigma is a German musical project founded in 1990 by Romanian-German musician and producer Michael Cretu. Cretu had released several solo records, collaborated with various artists, and produced albums for his then-wife, German pop singer Sandra, before he conceived the idea of a new-age, worldbeat project. He recorded the first Enigma studio album, '' MCMXC a.D.'' (1990), with contributions from David Fairstein and Frank Peterson. The album remains Enigma's most successful, helped by the international hit single "Sadeness (Part I)", which sold twelve million units alone.
