The Hughes Range is a high massive north–south trending mountain range in Antarctica, surmounted by six prominent summits, of which Mount Kaplan (4,230 m) is the highest. The range is located east of Canyon Glacier in the Queen Maud Mountains and extends from the confluence of Brandau and Keltie glaciers in the south, to the Giovinco Ice Piedmont in the north. Antelope Valley
The Antelope Valley is located in northern Los Angeles County, California, and the southeast portion of Kern County, California, and constitutes the western tip of the Mojave Desert. It is situated between the Tehachapi, Sierra Pelona, and the San Gabriel Mountains. The valley was named for the pronghorns that roamed there until they were all but eliminated in the 1880s, mostly by hunting, or resettled in other areas. Kratka Ridge
Kratka Ridge or Snowcrest is a skiable area on Waterman Mountain in the San Gabriel Mountains of Los Angeles County, California. Located 36 miles northeast of La Cañada and Pasadena along the Angeles Crest Highway, it reaches a height of 7,515 feet (2,291 m). The area had two chair lifts and a rope tow and has a total of 13 runs with a vertical drop of approximately 750 feet (230 m). Trail difficulty can be rated as 30% beginner, 30% intermediate and 40% advanced.
