Mr And Mrs (TV Series)
''Mr and Mrs'' is a British television game show that aired on ITV, hosted most familiarly by Derek Batey and based on the Canadian show of the same title. Format Each couple attempted to match each spouse's answers to six questions concerning their domestic and love life. The couple would switch roles after the first three questions. For each set of three questions, one spouse would attempt to predict how the other, seated behind a window and wearing headphones, would answer those questions. Any couple that successfully matched answers to all six questions would win a jackpot prize. Broadcasting The series was unusual in versions being made by more than one ITV region: Alan Taylor hosted the HTV version, Derek Batey hosted the version produced by Border and Norman Vaughan hosted a version made by Anglia. Roy Ward Dickson
Roy Ward Dickson (August 18, 1910 – September 16, 1978), born Richard Louis del Valle, was a pioneering Canadian television producer, writer, and emcee. Dubbed King of Quiz by an Edmonton journalist, Dickson invented the game show. His first show, ''Professor Dick and His Question Box'', debuted on radio in 1935, followed by ''The Quizz Club'' in 1936. Born in London, United Kingdom, Dickson moved to Canada where by 1929 he was a secondary school teacher in Winnipeg. He moved to British Columbia by 1931, working in the ''Vancouver Sun''s advertising department. In 1934 he relocated to Ontario where he joined ''Toronto Star'' and developed his first student quizzes. ''All Star Mr & Mrs'' is a British television show which first began airing on 12 April 2008 on ITV. It is a celebrity revival of the original '' Mr and Mrs'' that aired on ITV from 1968 to 1988 with two separate revivals in 1995–1996 and 1999 and was also based on the Canadian game show of the same name. The programme is hosted by Phillip Schofield, although Fern Britton had co-hosted the show with Schofield between 2008–10. The show features celebrities and their real-life partners playing to win up to £30,000 for their chosen charities. On 13 August 2017, it was reported that the series would be rested for a year, with ITV taking the series off their TV schedule for 2017. Ieuan Rhys (born 24 December 1961) is a Welsh actor. His television work has included thirteen years in the BBC Cymru soap opera ''Pobol y Cwm'', Seargent Tom Swann in the last series of ''A Mind to Kill'' (for Fiction Factory/ Channel 5) and six series of the Welsh-language version of '' Mr & Mrs'' – ''Sion a Sian'' for HTV.
