Mowdok Taung
Saka Haphong ( bn, সাকা হাফং, my, ဆကးအဖောင် တောင်) is a peak in Southeast Asia and South Asia which was founded by A.K.M Shahidullah Kaiser. Situated in Bangladesh & Myanmar it is often considered the highest point of the country (Bangladesh), with an elevation of . Located on the Bangladesh–Myanmar border, it is situated between Thanchi, Bandarban, Bangladesh and the Chin State of Myanmar. Saka Haphong was believed to be the highest peak of Bangladesh, but recent calculations have shown the highest peak of Bangladesh to be Tazing Dong, which is officially recognized as such. In February 2006 a GPS reading of 1,185 metres was recorded on this summit by Nature And Adventure Club Ginge Fullen. SRTM
The Shuttle Radar Topography Mission (SRTM) is an international research effort that obtained digital elevation models on a near-global scale from 56°S to 60°N, to generate the most complete high-resolution digital topographic database of Earth prior to the release of the ASTER GDEM in 2009. SRTM consisted of a specially modified radar system that flew on board the Space Shuttle Endeavour during the 11-day STS-99 mission in February 2000. The radar system was based on the older '' Spaceborne Imaging Radar-C/X-band Synthetic Aperture Radar'' (SIR-C/X-SAR), previously used on the Shuttle in 1994. To acquire topographic data, the SRTM payload was outfitted with two radar antennas. Tazing Dong ( bn, তাজিংডং), officially known as Bijay (Bengali: ), is a mountain in Bangladesh. Officially, it is the highest mountain in Bangladesh. It is located on Saichol Mountain ranges, Ruma Upazila of Bandarban District, Bandarban District, southeast of Bangladesh. According to official calculations, the height of Tazing Dong is . Earlier, some used to say that Keokradong was the highest mountain in Bangladesh; others used to claim Saka Haphong the highest mountain. Etymology In local dialect, "Tazing" means big or highest, and "Dong" means mountain or peak. So "Tazing Dong" means "the highest mountain". The mountain is officially named ''Bijay Mountain''. Ginge Fullen
Eamon Christopher McKinley "Ginge" Fullen is a British mountaineer and former Royal Navy clearance diver who holds the Guinness World Records for the fastest climbs of every peak in Europe and Africa. Life Fullen was a clearance diver in the Royal Navy for twenty years. He broke his neck in 1990 while playing rugby and suffered a heart attack on Mount Everest in 1996. Achievements Fullen has climbed 168 country high points. He was awarded the Queen's Gallantry Medal in the 1988 New Year Honours for saving lives during the 1987 ferry disaster whilst serving in the Royal Navy. The Asiatic Society of Bangladesh is a non political and non profit research organisation registered under both Society Act of 1864 and NGO Bureau, Government of Bangladesh. The Asiatic Society of Bangladesh was established as the Asiatic Society of East Pakistan in Dhaka in 1952 by a number of Muslim leaders, and renamed in 1972.
