Camp Mountainview
The Salvation Army has maintained camps in various locations throughout Canada. While some of these sites have ceased operation over the years, many are still in operation. Active camps Camp Sunrise is a camp near Gibsons in British Columbia. Captain Fraser Morrison and Colonel Arch Layman first scouted out the area and chose the grounds for the camp in 1925. Mountainview is an electoral district which returns a member (known as an MLA) to the Legislative Assembly of Yukon in Canada. It was created in 2009 out of parts of the former districts of McIntyre-Takhini and Copperbelt. It contains the Whitehorse subdivisions of Granger, Valleyview, McIntyre, and Hillcrest.
