Mountain Home High School (Idaho)
Mountain Home High School is a public high school in Mountain Home, Idaho, United States. The only traditional high school of the Mountain Home School District (#193). It serves over 1,100 students in grades 9–12, from the city of Mountain Home and Mountain Home Air Force Base to the southwest. MHHS is located at 300 South 11th East, and the principal is Sam Gunderson. The current building opened in 1954, with several additions, the latest in 2009. Previous buildings at other sites were built in 1926, 1905, and earlier, as yearbooks indicate MHHS graduates back to 1901. A three-year senior high school (10–12) for decades, freshman returned to the MHHS campus in 2009. Mountain Home, Idaho
Mountain Home is the largest city and county seat of Elmore County, Idaho, United States. The population was 15,979 in the 2020 census. Mountain Home is the principal city of the Mountain Home, Idaho Micropolitan Statistical Area, which includes Elmore County. Mountain Home was originally a post office at Rattlesnake Station, a stagecoach stop on the Overland Stage Line, about seven miles (11 km) east of the city, on present-day US-20 towards Fairfield. With the addition of the Oregon Short Line Railroad in 1883, the post office was moved downhill and west to the city's present site. Mountain Home Air Force Base, an Air Combat Command installation, is located southwest of the city. Tiger

Mountain Home Air Force Base
Mountain Home Air Force Base is a United States Air Force (USAF) installation in the western United States. Located in southwestern Idaho in Elmore County, the base is southwest of Mountain Home, which is southeast of Boise via Interstate 84. The base is also used by the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF), which has a detachment of F-15SG combat aircraft on long term assignment to the base and a squadron composing of RSAF and USAF personnel. The host unit at Mountain Home since 1972 has been the 366th Fighter Wing (366 FW) of Air Combat Command (ACC), nicknamed the "Gunfighters." The base's primary mission is to provide combat airpower and combat support capabilities to respond to and sustain worldwide contingency operations.
