Motolite Power Builders
The Motolite Volleyball Team is the professional women's volleyball team playing in the Premier Volleyball League. The team is owned by Philippine Batteries Inc. and named after its subsidiary, Motolite Batteries. History The team debuted in the Premier Volleyball League in 2018 Premier Volleyball League Open Conference with the Ateneo Lady Eagles Volleyball Team core mentored by Coach Oliver Almadro. In 2019, the team had a new set of players headed by Myla Pablo. Motolite decided to take a leave of absence from the PVL for the 2021 season due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Premier Volleyball League (PVL) is a women's professional volleyball league in the Philippines organized by Sports Vision Management Group, Inc. The league began in 2004 as the Shakey's V-League, a women's collegiate league. Since 2011, the league became open to participation of corporate clubs and other non-collegiate teams. The Spikers' Turf has served as the men's counterpart of the league. History Shakey's V-League (2004–2016) The Premier Volleyball League was established in 2004 as the Shakey's V-League by Sports Vision Management Group, Inc. led by Jun Bernardino, Ricky Palou, Moying Martelino, and Rhea Navarro who were businessmen previously known for being men's basketball patrons. CSU Galați is a Romanian women's volleyball Volleyball is a team sport in which two teams of six players are separated by a net. Each team tries to score points by grounding a ball on the other team's court under organized rules. It has been a part of the official program of the Summ ... club based in Galaţi. The club plays in the Divizia A1, the highest Romanian league. Melissa "Mel" Gohing-Nacino (born October 22, 1991) is a Filipino volleyball athlete. She is playing for the Creamline Cool Smashers in the Premier Volleyball League. Personal life Born in Bacolod, Negros Occidental, to a family of Filipino, Chinese and Spanish ancestry. She's the third among five kids, has one brother and three sisters. Early in her childhood, she already exhibited signs of being a fashionista. Her mom said, when she was in preschool, she always wants to wear footwear that matches her dress (it must be color coordinated). She attended preschool in Tay Tung High School. Petron Blaze Spikers
The Petron Blaze Spikers were a professional women's volleyball team that played in the Philippine Super Liga (PSL) from 2013 to 2020. After the cancellation of the 2020 season of the PSL due to the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, the team took a leave of absence from the league and released all its players. The team was owned by Petron Corporation. The company's involvement in volleyball began in 2002 when it established the Petron Ladies Beach Volleyball Tournament. Team history Petron became the first team to sweep a PSL tournament with a 13–0 record and claim the 2015 All-Filipino championship, its second consecutive PSL title. Carmela Tunay
Maria Carmela "Mela" Tunay is Filipina volleyball former player, actress, and TV host. She played for the UST Lady Tigresses in the UAAP and the Cignal HD Spikers in the PSL until 2016. She, then transferred and played for the Petron Blaze Spikers from 2017 to 2019. Personal life Carmela Tunay, born in Mandaluyong and lives in Makati, attended St Paul College in Makati. Diana Mae Magtoto "Tots" Carlos (born July 7, 1998) is a Filipino volleyball player who currently plays for the Creamline Cool Smashers. She was playing with UP Lady Fighting Maroons of the University of the Philippines-Diliman, and a member of both the indoor and beach volleyball collegiate varsity teams of the university. She bagged the back-to-back Most Valuable Player and Best Opposite Spiker in the 2022 Premier Volleyball League Open Conference and 2022 Premier Volleyball League Invitational Conference. The 2019 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) season was the third season of the Premier Volleyball League that started on May 26, 2019 at the Filoil Flying V Center in San Juan. 2018 Premier Volleyball League Reinforced Conference
The 2018 Premier Volleyball League Reinforced Conference was the fourth conference of the Premier Volleyball League (31st conference of the former Shakey's V-League). Conference will start on April 27, 2018 with a Grand Fans Day at the Trinoma Activity Center, Quezon City, 9 days before its opening ceremonies and games on May 6, 2018 at the Filoil Flying V Centre, San Juan City, Philippines. PLDT returns as PayMaya after two years of absence in the league and newcomer teams, Tacloban Fighting Warays and Petro Gazz Angels are expected to join the league. Teams will play a single round robin in the preliminary round. The top two teams (ranks 1 and 2) after the preliminary round will automatically enter the semifinals round.
