Moste District
The Moste District (; sl, Četrtna skupnost Moste), or simply Moste, is a district () of the City Municipality of Ljubljana. It encompasses the east-central part of Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia. It is named after the former village of Moste. Geography The Moste District is bounded on the north by the railroad to Dobova, on the east by the A1 Freeway, on the south by the Gruber Canal in the western part, but mostly by the Ljubljanica River, and on the west by the railroad to Metlika. The district includes the former villages of Moste, Selo, Studenec, and Vodmat. The Kodeljevo Sports Park, Ljubljana Power Station, and Selo Mansion are located in Moste. The district is traversed by the Path of Remembrance and Comradeship and by the Ljubljana Eastern Bypass. Ljubljana Eastern Bypass
The Ljubljana Ring Road ( sl, Ljubljansko vozlišče, ) is a motorway ring road around the city of Ljubljana. The ring road forms the main hub of the Slovenian motorway network and connects to the A1 and A2 motorways. It was built from 1979 till 1999 and consists of four bypass sections: the northern bypass (), the eastern bypass (), the southern bypass (), and the western bypass (). The ring road itself is signed as the A1 on the southern and eastern parts, the A2 on the western and southern parts, while the northern sections are signed as the H3 expressway. The outer ring is 29.1 km long, while the inner ring is 28.65 km long. The average daily traffic (AADT) is the highest on the northern sections and at more than 70,000 vehicles is also the highest in Slovenia. The Trail of Remembrance and Comradeship ( sl, Pot spominov in tovarištva, acronym ''PST''), also referred to as the Trail Along the Wire (), the Trail Around Ljubljana (), or the Green Ring (), is a gravel-paved recreational and memorial walkway almost long and wide around the city of Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia. The walkway leads past Koseze Pond and across Golovec Hill. Selo Mansion
Selo Mansion ( sl, Dvorec Selo) is a mansion at Zalog Street () west of the intersection with Kajuh Street () in the former village of Selo in the Moste District of Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia. It is a Late Baroque mansion, currently owned by the company GIVO Real. It houses the embassies of Albania and Kosovo, a private clinic, and an ethno club. History The mansion was built in 1760 and initially served as Jesuit College retreat from Trieste. Ljubljana Power Station
The Ljubljana Power Station is a coal-fired heat and power station in the Moste District of Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia. Owner-Operator The plant is owned and operated by Energetika Ljubljana. Production of heat and electricity The plant delivers 90% of the remote generated heat in Ljubljana. About 74% of Ljubljana households use district heating. Ljubljanica
The Ljubljanica (), known in the Middle Ages as the ''Sava'', is a river in the southern part of the Ljubljana Basin in Slovenia. The capital of Slovenia, Ljubljana, lies on the river. A1 Motorway (Slovenia)
The A1 motorway ( sl, avtocesta A1), also known as Slovenika, is long, connecting Šentilj (at the Austrian border) and Koper/Capodistria (on the shores of the Adriatic Sea). It connects several of the largest metropolitan areas of the country, including Maribor, Celje and Ljubljana, all the way to the Slovenian Littoral and port town of Koper.
