Mostafa Kejo
Moustafa Kejo Elmekawi ( ar, مصطفى كيجو المكاوي; born 22 October 1994) is an Egyptian basketball player who plays for Zamalek and the Egyptian national team. He plays as a power forward or center. Professional career Since 2012, Kejo plays for Zamalek in the Egyptian Basketball Super League. In 2019, he won the Egyptian championship. Kejo was on the roster for the 2021 BAL season, where he started all games for Zamalek and eventually won the BAL championship. He contributed 6.5 points and 6 rebounds per game. National team career Kejo plays for the Egyptian national team, where he participated at the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup. The power forward (PF), also known as the four or strong forward, is a position in basketball. Power forwards play a role similar to centers. When on offense, they typically play with their backs towards the basket. When on defense, they typically position themselves under the basket in a zone defense or against the opposing power forward in man-to-man defense. FIBA AfroBasket 2017 was the 29th edition of the AfroBasket, a men's basketball continental championship of Africa. The tournament was jointly hosted by Tunisia and Senegal. Angola was proposed by FIBA Africa to host the tournament, an offer declined as the country is holding general elections in the same period. Tunisia won their second title after defeating Nigeria 77–65 in the final, while Senegal caught the third place by beating Morocco 73–62. 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup
The 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup was the 17th edition of the FIBA Basketball World Cup, the tournament previously known as the FIBA World Championship. Hosted by Spain, it was the last tournament to be held on the then-current four-year cycle. The next FIBA World Cup was held five years later, in 2019, to reset the four-year-cycle on a different year than the FIFA World Cup.
