Morton Station
Morton station, also known as Morton–Rutledge station, is a SEPTA Regional Rail station in Morton, Pennsylvania. Located at Yale and Morton Avenues, it serves the Media/Wawa Line. While the south, inbound platform of the station is in Morton Borough, the north, outbound side is in Springfield Township. Both dollar-a-day and permit parking are available. In 2013, this station saw 720 boardings and 657 alightings on an average weekday. History Morton Station was originally built in 1867 for the West Chester and Philadelphia Railroad. It was rebuilt in 1880 by architect Joseph Wilson of the Wilson Brothers architectural firm (although some have mistakenly credited the building to Frank Furness) for the Pennsylvania Railroad. Morton is a borough in Delaware County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 2,778 at the 2020 census. Geography Morton is located in eastern Delaware County at (39.910612, -75.327273). It is bordered to the north, east, and west by Springfield Township and to the south by Ridley Township. West Chester Railroad
The West Chester Railroad is a privately owned and operated tourist railroad that runs between Market Street in West Chester, Pennsylvania, in Chester County, and the village of Glen Mills, Pennsylvania, in Delaware County. It operates on of former Pennsylvania Railroad (PRR) track on the West Chester Branch between mile post 27.5 and 20.6. It is owned by the for-profit 4 States Railway Service, Inc. and operated by the West Chester Railroad Heritage Association, a non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation of the railroad. SEPTA Regional Rail is the commuter rail system serving Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and its metropolitan region, also known as the Delaware Valley. Secane Station
Secane station is a SEPTA Regional Rail station in Secane, Pennsylvania. It serves the Media/Wawa Line and previously served the Pennsylvania Railroad. It is located at Providence Road and South Avenue, and parking is available via permit. The station consists of two platforms with shelters on the east side of Providence Road across from the end of South Street. A serpentinite stone building originally built in 1880 by the Pennsylvania Railroad serves as the station and ticket office, with an insurance office occupying the level at the parking lot. The station opened as Spring Hill, retaining that name until 1886. The previous name can still be found on the cornerstone of the building. Temple University Station
Temple University station is an above-ground SEPTA Regional Rail station located at the eastern edge of the Temple University campus at 915 West Berks Street between 9th and 10th Streets, in the Cecil B. Moore section of Lower North Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The station is in the Center City fare zone, although the station itself is located in North Philadelphia. There is a small ticket kiosk located at the base of the stairs on the street level. Temple University maintains a security kiosk at street level. Stairways and two elevators lead up to the high-level platforms at track level. There are two island platforms serving four tracks. Wawa station is a commuter rail station on the SEPTA Regional Rail Media/Wawa Line, located adjacent to U.S. Route 1 in Middletown Township, Delaware County, Pennsylvania. The original station was built by the West Chester and Philadelphia Railroad and later served the Pennsylvania Railroad's West Chester Branch, which finally became SEPTA's R3 line (later renamed to the "Media/Elwyn Line"). The outer section of the line, running from Elwyn to West Chester including the old Wawa station, was closed in 1986.
