Morteza Barjesteh ( fa, مرتضی برجسته), best known by his stage name Morteza (), is an Iranian pop singer-songwriter and composer who gained fame in Iran during the 1980s. Early life Morteza was born in Tehran and spent his early years there. Finishing primary and secondary education, he studied architecture and engaged in graphic designing. During the years of living in Iran, he worked with several advertising companies as a designer. By the age of 16, Morteza started singing in Iranian movies. In 1969, he entered a singing festival in Mikhak-e Noghre-yi (''Silver Carnation''), a TV show which was performed by Fereydoon Farrokhzad and broadcast on Iran's national television for the first time, and won the competition. Morteza Avini
Sayyid Morteza Avini ( fa, سید مرتضی آوینی; also spelled Aviny; 23 September 1947 – 9 April 1993) was an Iranian documentary filmmaker, author, and Theory, theoretician of "Islamic Cinema." He studied Architecture at Tehran University in 1965. During the Iranian Revolution, Avini started his artistic career as a director of documentary films, and is considered a prominent war filmmaker. He made over 80 films on the Iran–Iraq War. According to Agnes Devictor, Avini invented original cinematography methods, depicting the Batin (Islam), esoteric side of the Iran–Iraq War in terms of Irfan, Shia mystical thought. Most of his work was devoted to reflecting how ''bassijis'' perceived the war and their role in it. His most famous work is the documentary series ''Ravayat-e Fath'' (''Narration of Victory''), which was filmed during the Iran–Iraq War. He was killed by a landmine explosion in 1993, while filming. Ayatollah Morteza Moghtadai (مرتضی مقتدایی) (born 12 October 1935 in Isfahan, Iran) is an Iranian Shia scholar, and deputy chairman of Society of Seminary Teachers of Qom. Morteza Hannaneh ( fa, مرتضی حنانه; March 1, 1923 – October 17, 1989) was an Iranian composer and Musician He composed for some films, such as '' Fleeing the Trap'' in 1971. Musical career He studied Horn at the Tehran Conservatory of Music and basic composition with Parviz Mahmoud, Hannaneh and Mahmoud were the true founder of Tehran Symphony Orchestra. Morteza Bakhtiari (born 1952) is an Iranian politician who served as Minister of Justice from 2009 to 2013. Early life Bakhtiari was born in Mashhad in 1952. Career Bakhtiari served as the director of the state prisons organization of Iran from 4 March 1999 to June 2004. He was named as the head of the justice department of the Khorasan Province in Mashhad in June 2004, replacing Ali Akbar Yasaqi. Then he began to serve as the governor of Isfahan in October 2005. He was approved by the Majlis as justice minister to the cabinet led by president Mahmoud Ahmedinejad on 3 September 2009 and replaced Gholam Hossein Elham as justice minister.
