Morten Diderik Emil Lambrechts (4 October 1824 – 28 May 1900) was a Norwegian jurist and politician. He was born and died in Christiania. He was the father of Sigurd Lambrechts and a grandfather of Finn Lambrechts. Sigurd Lambrechts
Sigurd Lambrechts (6 February 1863–10 October 1941) was a Norwegian lawyer and civil servant. Personal life Lambrechts was born in Kristiania as a son of Chief Justice Morten Diderik Emil Lambrechts (1824–1900) and Karoline Mathilde Østrem. From 1894 to 1906 he was married to Augusta Mowinckel Ramm. In 1915 he married veterinarian's daughter Aagot Nyquist. Together with Augusta Mowinckel he had the son Finn Lambrechts. Career He finished his secondary education in 1881, and graduated from the Royal Frederick University with the cand.jur. degree in 1886. He was hired as a clerk in the Ministry of Justice in 1889, and was promoted to deputy under-secretary of state in 1899. Finn Lambrechts DFC (16 June 1900 – 8 December 1956) was a Norwegian military officer, a lieutenant general of the Royal Norwegian Air Force. He served as Chief of Defence of Norway ( no, sjef for Forsvarsstaben) from 1955 to 1956. Personal life Lambrechts was born in Kristiania, the son of county manager Sigurd Lambrechts and Augusta Mowinckel. On 24 June 1929, he married Cuba-born Anita Brøgger. In some jurisdictions, an assessor is a judge's or magistrate's assistant. This is the historical meaning of this word. In common law jurisdictions, assessors are usually non-lawyers who sit together with a judge to provide either expert advice (such as on maritime matters) or guidance on local practices. The use of assessors nowadays is quite rare. In some jurisdictions, such as Fiji, assessors are used in place of juries. An assessor's opinion or view of a case is not binding on a judge. Iver Steen Thomle
Iver Steen Thomle (1 March 1812, in Froland – 16 September 1889, in Kristiania) was Norwegian jurist. He was the son of Erich Andreas Thomle and his wife Mette Maria, née Binneballe. His brother was politician and jurist August Thomle. In 1838 Iver Steen Thomle married Augusta Sophie Smith. She died shortly after, but Thomle married Juliane Marie Heyerdahl in 1845. Thomle graduated from the University of Christiania in 1833. He held jobs in the lawyer's office of Frederik Stang and later the Ministry of Justice. In 1849 he became County Governor of Nedenes (today: Aust-Agder), a post he held until 1860.
