Morten Bødskov
Morten Bødskov (born 1 May 1970 in Karup) is a Danish Social Democrats (Denmark), Social Democratic politician, and member of the Folketing, currently serving as the Minister for Business since 2022. He previously served as Minister of Defence (Denmark), Minister of Defence from February to December 2022 and Minister for Taxation (Denmark), Minister for Taxation under Frederiksen and Minister of Justice (Denmark), Minister of Justice in the Government of Helle Thorning-Schmidt. Political career Early beginnings At age 15 Bødskov joined the Social Democratic Youth of Denmark (DSU), where he quickly assumed numerous positions of trust. In 1996, he took over as federal president of the DSU from Henrik Sass Larsen. In 2001, he was elected to the Folketing and in 2005 Helle Thorning-Schmidt appointed him as deputy chairman of the parliamentary group. Social Democrats (Denmark)
The Social Democrats ( da, Socialdemokraterne, ) is a social democratic political party in Denmark. A member of the Party of European Socialists (PES), the Social Democrats have 50 out of 179 members of the Danish parliament (following the latest Danish general election held in 2022), Folketing, and three out of fourteen MEPs elected from Denmark. Founded by Louis Pio in 1871, the party first entered the Folketing in the 1884 Danish Folketing election. By the early 20th century, it had become the party with the largest representation in the Folketing, a distinction it would hold for 77 years. The Frederiksen I Cabinet took office on 27 June 2019 and succeeded the Lars Løkke Rasmussen III Cabinet following the 2019 Danish general election. Probation in criminal law is a period of supervision over an offender, ordered by the court often in lieu of incarceration. In some jurisdictions, the term ''probation'' applies only to community sentences (alternatives to incarceration), such as suspended sentences. DR (), officially the Danish Broadcasting Corporation in English, is a Danish public-service radio and television broadcasting company. Founded in 1925 as a public-service organization, it is Denmark's oldest and largest electronic media enterprise. DR is a founding member of the European Broadcasting Union. Henrik Sass Larsen
Henrik Sass Larsen (born 29 May 1966 in Virum) is a Danish politician. He is a former member of the Folketing for the Social Democrats political party. He sat in parliament from 2000 to 2019. He was the Danish Minister of Business Affairs and Growth from 2013 to 2015. Political career Larsen led the Social Democratic Youth of Denmark from 1992 to 1996. He acted as a substitute member of the Folketing twice during the 1998—2001 term, from 19 January 1999 to 21 March 1999 and again from 16 June 1999 to 22 June 1999. Social Democratic Youth Of Denmark
The Social Democratic Youth of Denmark ( da, Danmarks Socialdemokratiske Ungdom, DSU) is the national youth wing of the Danish Social Democrats. It is not to be confused with Frit Forum, which is for those in higher education, and whose membership is not restricted by age, unlike the DSU. The organisation is autonomous from the Social Democrats and as such is entitled to formulate its own policies and devise its own campaigns. The Social Democratic Youth movement was established in 1920 after a break-up of the former youth organisation, the Social Democratic Youth League (', SUF).
