Catherine Morissette (born February 3, 1979 in Quebec City, Quebec) is a politician and lawyer from Quebec, Canada. She was an Action démocratique du Québec Member of the National Assembly for the electoral district of Charlesbourg from 2007 to 2008. She graduated from Université Laval in 2003 after obtaining a bachelor's degree in international law. She also studied at the University of Paris-V in international studies. She was admitted to the Quebec Bar in 2005. She worked as a clerk for the Manitoba Ministry of Justice and was a lawyer for three years for the Quebec City-based law firm of Daignault et associés. She is also a member of organizations such as Avocats sans Frontieres (Lawyers without borders), the Quebec Chamber of Commerce and the Quebec businesspeople Chamber of Commerce. Claire Morissette (April 6, 1950 – July 20, 2007) was a Canadian cycling advocate who fought for equal cyclists' rights in Montreal since 1976. She was a member of the group Le Monde à Bicyclette. Notable were the stunts they organized to raise consciousness of automobile transportation's negative impact on cities and their inhabitants, such as bringing snow skis and toboggans on subways to protest the exclusion of bicycles and a die-in on the corner of St. Catherine and University streets in which 100 people lay in the street adorned with fake blood and surrounded with wrecked bikes. Cody Hodsdon Morissette (born January 16, 2000) is an American professional baseball second baseman in the Miami Marlins organization. Early life and amateur career Morissette grew up in Exeter, New Hampshire, and attended Exeter High School, where he was an All-State selection in football, basketball and baseball. He was named the New Hampshire Division I Baseball Player of the Year as a junior and as a senior he was named New Hampshire's Mr. Basketball. Morissette had 99 career hits and compiled a 19–1 win–loss record with a 1.21 earned run average (ERA) as a pitcher over four seasons. David Eugène "Moose" Morissette (born December 24, 1971) is a Canadian retired professional ice hockey left winger and enforcer who played 11 games in the National Hockey League for the Montreal Canadiens. Career Morissette played junior hockey for the Shawinigan Cataractes of the QMJHL, for whom he was a 1st-round draft pick in the 1988 QMJHL Entry draft. He played for the Cataractes for 3 seasons, totaling 72 points and 789 PIMs in 196 games. Following the 1990–91 season, he was selected in the 1991 NHL Entry Draft by the Washington Capitals, 146th overall. Jean-Guy Donat Morissette (December 16, 1937 – March 22, 2011) was a Canadian ice hockey goaltender. He played one game in the National Hockey League with the Montreal Canadiens during the 1963–64 NHL season, 1963–64 season, on October 30, 1963, against the Toronto Maple Leafs. Bill Morrisette (born October 18, 1931) is a retired educator and politician in the U.S. state of Oregon. He was a member of the Oregon State Senate, representing Springfield (District 6) (2003-2010). He was previously a member of the Oregon House of Representatives (1999–2002); Mayor of Springfield, OR (1989–1999); and a Springfield City Council member (1987–1989). He taught social studies at Springfield High School from 1963 to 1990. Morrisette has focused on education and human services while in the legislature.
