Moorhouse (band)
Moorhouse was a New Zealand boy band consisting of members Jason Aileone (born 1993), Brock Ashby (born 1993), Rory McKenna (born 1993), Marley Sola Wilcox-Nanai (born 1995) and Rameka Uitime-Paraki (born 1993). They formed in Christchurch in 2012 and are best known for their appearance in the first New Zealand series of ''The X Factor'' where they finished in fourth place. Competing in the Groups category, they were mentored by Melanie Blatt. Their debut single "Mama Said" was released in August 2013, peaking at number eight in the New Zealand charts. In February 2015 the band announced it had split up. Early life Moorhouse was formed in Christchurch in mid-2012, originally with the line-up of Rory McKenna, Brock Ashby, Jason Aileone and Rameka Uitime-Paraki and eventually made a quintet by the addition of Marley Sola Wilcox-Nanai. Moor House
Moor House is a large office building on London Wall in the City of London. It is located on the northern edge of the financial district and is one of the largest buildings in the area, standing tall and with 29,000 square metres of floor space. Completed in 2004, it was the first building to be designed for the forthcoming Crossrail, with a ventilation shaft to the station underneath the building. When built, it had the deepest foundations in London, which reach down and are specifically designed to withstand further tunneling below it in the future. Moorhouse or Laxton Moorhouse is a hamlet within the Laxton and Moorhouse parish, in the Newark and Sherwood district of central Nottinghamshire, England. Toponymy The name Moorhouse was a local name meaning the inhabitant at the house on the moorland. Known as ''Morhus'' by 1231, it derived from elements of the Old English words mor, meaning marsh or fen, and hus, meaning house. Later interpretations included ''Morhuses'' in 1232, and through local association ''Laxton (or Lexington) Morehouse'' by 1324. Geography The area is 2 miles east of Laxton, and 20 miles northeast of Nottingham. Predominantly, it is a scattering of farms, farmhouses and cottages amongst a wider rural setting. These are grouped around three roads meeting by a single junction: Green Lane, Moorhouse Lane, and Ossington Lane. Moorhouse's is an independent brewery founded in 1865, by William Moorhouse in Burnley Lancashire, England, as a producer of mineral waters and low-alcohol beers known as hop bitters. It first produced cask ales in 1978. Products The brewery produces cask ale and filtered beer in bottles. History The business was founded in 1865 by William Moorhouse as a producer of mineral waters. The business was successful and by 1870 Moorhouse had a purpose built building erected in Moorhouse Street off Accrington Road, Burnley which incorporated stables for the delivery horses and houses for the workers and Moorhouse family. William's sons took over the business and early in the 20th century began making low alcohol hop bitters which were exported throughout the world, notably United States and the Middle East.
