Montenegro was represented by Stefan Filipović with the song "Zauvijek volim te" in the Eurovision Song Contest 2008, held in Belgrade, Serbia. Before Eurovision MontenegroSong 2008 ''MontenegroSong 2008'' was the national final organised by RTCG to select Montenegro's entrant for the Eurovision Song Contest 2008. Six candidates competed in the televised final on 27 January 2008, which was held at the Shass Disco in Podgorica and hosted by Dražen Bauković and Marija Vujović. The show was televised on TVCG 1 as well as broadcast online via the broadcaster's website ''rtcg.org''. Final The final took place on 27 January 2008. The participants were announced on 13 January 2008. Stefan Filipović (Serbian Cyrillic: Стефан Филиповић) (born January 18, 1987) is a Montenegrin pop singer. Biography Filipović was born in Titograd, now Podgorica, and studied in the Cetinje Music Academy. He started singing at age seven and he took part in various festivals in Montenegro and abroad. On January 27, he won MontenegroSong 2008, hence gaining the right to represent Montenegro in the Eurovision Song Contest 2008, that was held in Belgrade, Serbia. The song performed was chosen internally by a 30-member jury appointed by RTCG. Macedonia (officially under the provisional appellation "former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia", abbreviated "FYR Macedonia") participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2007 with the song "Mojot svet" written by Grigor Koprov and Ognen Nedelkovski.
