Montenegrin Women's Basketball Cup
The Montenegrin Women's Basketball Cup is the national women's basketball cup of Montenegro. It has been played for since 2006. History Before independence Before Montenegrin independence, clubs from that Republic played in national basketball Cup of Yugoslavia / Serbia and Montenegro. Most successful was ŽKK Budućnost with two finals (2001–02, 2002–03). After independence Except Montenegrin Women's Basketball League as a top-tier league competition, after the independence, Basketball Federation of Montenegro established Montenegrin Cup as a second elite national tournament. The inaugural season of Montenegrin Cup was 2006-07, and since then all the titles have been won by ŽKK Budućnost and ŽKK Jedinstvo. Montenegrin Basketball Cup
The Montenegrin Basketball Cup is an annual cup competition for Montenegrin basketball teams held since 2007. History Montenegrin clubs in Yugoslav Cup Before the Montenegrin independence in 2006, clubs from Montenegro played in national Cup of Yugoslavia. Most successful was KK Budućnost with three trophies won. First time, Budućnost won the trophy at final-four 1996 in Nikšić, defeating KK Partizan (126–115) in the final. Two years later, Budućnost won the final four, again in Nikšić (final match against KK Beobanka - 78:71). First A Women's Basketball League Of Montenegro
The First А Women's Basketball League of Montenegro is the highest women's professional club basketball competition in Montenegro. It was founded in 2006 after the dissolution of Serbia and Montenegro. History Before independence Before 2006, Montenegrin women's basketball clubs played in the league system of SFR Yugoslavia, FR Yugoslavia and Serbia and Montenegro. While ŽKK Budućnost played in top flight during the SFR Yugoslavia era, Herceg Novi, Lovćen, Sutjeska ŽKK Roling and ŽKK Jedinstvo played in the First League of FR Yugoslavia/Serbia and Montenegro. For the first time, Montenegrin side played in First Yugoslav League on season 1983-84. Košarkaški klub Podgorica (), commonly referred to as KK Podgorica, is a men's professional basketball club based in Podgorica, Montenegro. The club has the same management structure as Budućnost Bemax. They are currently competing in the Montenegrin First League and the ABA League Second Division.
