Monte Stella is a mountain the Lucan Subappennines, with an elevation of 1,131 m, located in Cilento, Campania, southern Italy. Geography At his slopes there are located the villages of Serramezzana, San Mauro Cilento, Galdo (hamlet of Pollica), Amalafede, San Giovanni, Guarrazzano, Stella Cilento, Omignano, Sessa Cilento, Castagneto, San Mango Cilento, Mercato Cilento and Perdifumo. On the summit is a radar station and the "Madonna del Monte Stella" church. Alburni
The Alburni are an Italian mountain range of the Province of Salerno, Campania, part of the Apennines. Due to their geomorphology, they are popularly known as the "''Dolomites of Campania''" or of Southern Italy. The highest mountain is the Panormo (1,742 amsl). Its second name, Alburno, gives the name to the whole range. Cervati
Cervati is an Italian mountain of the Province of Salerno, Campania. Geography The mountain is located in the north-western side of the municipality of Sanza, close to the forest area of Pruno. It is the source of the river Bussento. With 1,898 amsl it is the highest mountain of Cilento, followed by Panormo (part of Alburni range, 1,742 amsl), Faiatella (1,710) and Gelbison (1,705). Gelbison is a mountain in the Lucan Subappennines range of the Apennine Mountains system, with an elevation of . Pollica
Pollica (Campanian: ) is a town and ''comune'' in the province of Salerno in the Campania region of south-western Italy. Located 94 km from Salerno, the town rises to an elevation 370 meters from sea level. History The first mention of Pollica dates back to a legal document from 1113 in which Targisius II Sanseverino donated property to the Abbott of Cava. In the 13th century the town was owned by the Alemagna, who sold it to the Capano, a family originally from Rocca Cilento. The Capano, who held the noble title of princes, governed the town until 1795 when there were no heirs and the town became the property of the De Liguoro, who held it until 1806 (end of the feudal system). In 1997 the town purchased the "Castello Capano" (Capano's Castle).
