Montarville (provincial Electoral District)
Montarville is a provincial electoral district in the Montérégie region of Quebec, Canada that elects members to the National Assembly of Quebec. It consists of the municipalities of Boucherville and Saint-Bruno-de-Montarville, both of which are part of the urban agglomeration of Longueuil. It was created for the 2012 election from parts of the Marguerite-D'Youville and Chambly electoral districts. Marguerite-D'Youville, which ceased to exist, consisted of Boucherville and Sainte-Julie. To create Montarville, Sainte-Julie was moved to the Verchères electoral district and Saint-Bruno-de-Montarville was taken from Chambly. Longueuil
Longueuil () is a city in the province of Quebec, Canada. It is the seat of the Montérégie administrative region and the central city of the urban agglomeration of Longueuil. It sits on the south shore of the Saint Lawrence River directly across from Montreal. The population as of the Canada 2016 Census totalled 239,700, making it Montreal's second largest suburb, the fifth most populous city in Quebec and twentieth largest in Canada. Charles Le Moyne founded Longueuil as a ''seigneurie'' in 1657. It would become a parish in 1845, a village in 1848, a town in 1874 and a city in 1920. Nathalie Roy
Nathalie Roy (born 8 May 1964) is a Canadian politician. She is a member of the National Assembly of Quebec for the riding of Montarville, first elected in the 2012 election. She is currently serving as the Ministry of Culture and Communications (Quebec). Prior to her election, Roy served as a journalist and news anchor with ''TVA Nouvelles.'' In August 2016, Roy came out as against Burkini and Hijab. Saying these are accessories of Radical Islam. Taillon
Taillon is a provincial electoral district in the Montérégie region of Quebec, Canada that elects members to the National Assembly of Quebec. It comprises part of the borough of Le Vieux-Longueuil of the city of Longueuil. It was created for the 1966 election from Verchères and Chambly electoral districts. It was named after former Quebec Premier Louis-Olivier Taillon who was in power for four days in 1886 and from 1892 to 1896. It is best known as the riding of Parti Québécois founder René Lévesque, who served as premier from 1976 to 1985. For the better part of four decades after the PQ seized it in 1976, Taillon was a stronghold for both the PQ and the sovereigntist cause. An electoral swing analysis (or swing) shows the extent of change in voter support, typically from one election to another, expressed as a positive or negative percentage. A multi-party swing is an indicator of a change in the electorate's preference between candidates or parties, often between major parties in a two-party system. A swing can be calculated for the electorate as a whole, for a given electoral district or for a particular demographic.
