Montafoner Resonanzen
Montafoner Resonanzen is a music festival consisting of a series of events in the Montafon region of Vorarlberg ( Austria). It takes place annually on several weekends in August and September at varying locations. The next series of events will be held from 4 August to 11 September 2022. History In 1977, the festival was founded by Bernd-H. Becher as series of events under the name of Montafoner Sommerkonzerte. The founder has accompanied the festival for over 20 years. The festival was constantly expanded. After the re-establishment in 2002 by the Stand Montafon (an association of ten Montafon municipalities), the first Montafon summer took place in 2004. From 2004 to 2014, Nikolaus Netzer was responsible for the artistic direction. Since 2015, the festival runs under Markus Felbermayer as the organisational director, and Montafon Tourism as the organiser. In 2017, the festival was renamed to ''Montafoner Resonanzen''. Montafon
Montafon ( in local dialect: "''Muntafu''") is a 39 km long valley in the westernmost Austrian federal state of Vorarlberg. It is traversed by the river Ill (Vorarlberg) and extends from the city of Bludenz and the Verwall Alps in the north, to the Silvretta and Rätikon mountain range in the south. Piz Buin, at 3,312 meters, is the highest peak within the Silvretta mountain range and the highest peak in Vorarlberg. The Montafon region has a population of 16,421(2021). Geography The Montafon is an association of ten communities ("Stand Montafon"), all of which belong to the Bludenz district. The main town is Schruns. Regional tourism is marketed by the Tourist Association Montafon, run by the municipalities, the Vorarlberger Illwerke and the regional mountain cableways. Gemeinde Gaschurn-Partenen
Gemeinde Gaschurn-Partenen is a municipality in the district of Bludenz in the westernmost Austrian state of Vorarlberg. The two largest villages are Gaschurn Dorf (population 1083 as of 1.1.2020) and Partenen (population 376 as of 1.1.2020). Geography The center of Gaschurn lies 979 m above sea level. It is located in the Montafon valley between Gortipohl and Partenen (the latter belonging to the municipality of Gaschurn). 12.7 percent of the municipal area is forested, and 51.7 percent are alpine. The river Ill runs through the community. On the right are the Verwall mountains, and on the left the Silvretta mountain range. Tschagguns
Tschagguns is a village in the Montafon valley, Bludenz district in the Austrian state of Vorarlberg. Tschagguns offers skiing with its own ski resort called Golm. A brass instrument is a musical instrument that produces sound by sympathetic vibration of air in a tubular resonator in sympathy with the vibration of the player's lips. Brass instruments are also called labrosones or labrophones, from Latin and Greek elements meaning 'lip' and 'sound'. There are several factors involved in producing different pitches on a brass instrument. Chamber music is a form of classical music that is composed for a small group of instruments—traditionally a group that could fit in a palace chamber or a large room. Nikolaus Netzer
Nikolaus Netzer (born 1967) is an Austrian conductor and music school director. Life and career Born in Schruns, Netzer studied music and instrumental education at the University of Innsbruck with a focus on choral and ensemble conducting. He completed his studies with the ''Magister artium''. He earned his conducting diploma at the Tyrolean State Conservatory. Netzer subsequently assisted among others the conductors Gustav Kuhn, Umberto Cattini, Karl Österreicher, Nikolaus Harnoncourt. From 1996 to 2001, he was the musical director of the Innsbruck University Orchestra. Furthermore, Netzer took over the direction of the chamber orchestra "Musica Camerata Innsbruck" in 1999 and later the musical direction of the "Tiroler Kammerchor Wörgl".
