Monroe Central High School is a public high school in Woodsfield, Ohio, United States. It is one of three high schools in the Switzerland of Ohio Local School District. Sports teams are called the Seminoles, and they compete in the Ohio High School Athletic Association as a member of the Ohio Valley Athletic Conference and Mid-Ohio Valley League. Ohio Valley Athletic Conference
The Ohio Valley Athletic Conference is a high school sports league in parts of southeastern Ohio and northern West Virginia. The OVAC is the largest conference of its kind in the United States. Schools in the upper Ohio Valley supply over 18,000 athletes in various competitive athletic areas. The conference was organized in 1943. The Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) is the governing body of athletic programs for junior and senior high schools in the state of Ohio. Softball is a game similar to baseball played with a larger ball on a smaller field. Softball is played competitively at club levels, the college level, and the professional level.
