Monkton Wildcats
The Monkton Wildcats were a senior hockey team based in Monkton, Ontario, Canada. They played in the Western Ontario Athletic Association Senior Hockey League, and closed prior to the 2014-15 hockey season. Championships The Monkton Wildcats won the 1999-2000 Senior "A" championship, and were also Intermediate "B" champions in 1987-88, however they failed to capture the WOAA Grand Championship that year. 2006-07 Wildcats season Monkton, coming off an 8-17-0 season in 2005-06, slipped a little bit, going 7-17-0, and finishing in eighth place in the South Division. The Wildcats were given a bit of a scare in their opening playoff round against the Thedford Dirty Dogs before winning the series two games to one. Monkton, Ontario
Monkton is a village in Perth County, Ontario, Canada, located at the intersection of County Roads 55 and 23. The community is west of Milverton and southwest of Listowel. It is part of the Municipality of North Perth. The village is home to the Monkton Wildcats, a Senior Hockey Club of the Western Ontario Athletic Association. The village is situated partly in Logan but largely in Elma. History Monkton originated with the construction of the Logan gravel road. In 1857 Mr. T. M. Daly, a contractor on the highway, erected the first building in the new settlement, a blacksmith shop located on 47 Maddison st east. Once the gravel road was completed, a stage route was opened from Mitchell to Newry to carry passengers and provide a mail service between the two communities. Western Ontario Athletic Association Senior Hockey League
The WOAA Senior AA Hockey League is a Canadian senior ice hockey league governed by the Western Ontario Athletic Association. The league operates in Southwestern Ontario. History Format The league uses Hockey Canada playing rules but is not operated under the jurisdictions of the Ontario Hockey Association or Hockey Canada. The league is based in the Georgian Triangle and Southwestern Ontario. The league has been in existence since 1943, one year after the WOAA itself was established, and has entertained large crowds with local former Junior Hockey players and the odd former professional player. The league is rather large and features teams of both Senior "AA" and Senior "A" calibre. Blue

Orange (colour)
Orange is the colour between yellow and red on the visible spectrum, spectrum of light, visible light. Thedford Dirty Dogs
The Thedford Dirty Dogs are a senior hockey team based out of Thedford, Ontario, Canada. They have played three seasons in the WOAA Senior Hockey League. 2006-07 Dirty Dogs Season On October 7, 2006, the Thedford Dirty Dogs began their first season in the WOAA with a 10-2 loss to the Hensall Sherwoods at the Thedford Bosanquet Community Centre. Two weeks later on October 21, the Dirty Dogs played in their first road game, an 8-4 loss in Hensall. On November 11, Thedford earned their first point of the season, as they lost to the Wingham Bulls 7-6 in overtime in a game in Wingham. The Dirty Dogs finished the regular season still looking for their first win, as they wound up with a 0-23-1 record, ending up in ninth place in the nine team South Division. Durham Thundercats
The Durham Thundercats, originally the Durham 72's, are a senior hockey team based out of Durham, Ontario, Canada. The Thundercats date back to the town's Centennial, 1972, and have been an extremely successful team in all loops of the Western Ontario Athletic Association Senior "AA" Hockey League. The 72's During the 1972 Centennial celebration in Durham, locals decided a second Men's hockey club could succeed and thus put into place the formation of the current Durham Thundercats. Working alongside but playing out of different leagues as the towns established team, the Huskies, the town applied to and was accepted to enter the Western Ontario Athletic Association's Northern league. Wingham Bulls
The Wingham Bulls were a senior hockey team based out of Wingham, Ontario, Canada. They played in the Western Ontario Athletic Association Senior Hockey League. Championships The Wingham Spitfires won the WOAA Sr. "A" title three years in a row, from 2001-2003. A previous Wingham team with the same nickname won the 1951 WOAA Grand Championship, while in 1984, the Wingham Royals were crowned the Intermediate "A" title. 2006-07 Bulls Season The Bulls improved greatly from their 2005-06 season, and finished the year with a 12-12-0 record, which placed them 6th in the WOAA South Division. Palmerston 81's
The Mapleton-Minto 81's are a senior hockey team based out of Palmerston, Harriston, and Drayton, Ontario, Canada. They play in the Western Ontario Athletic Association Senior Hockey League. Championships Palmerston won the WOAA Grand Championship in the 1957-58 season. The current Palmerston 81's have three WOAA Sr. "A" Championships, in 1998-99, 2005–06, and 2007–08, and they have a WOAA Sr. "AA" Championship, in 2002-03. 2006-07 Season Palmerston, the defending Senior "A" Champions, had a very strong year, with a 17-7-0 record, good for fourth in the North Division. Lucan-Ilderton Jets
The Komoka Classics were a senior ice hockey team based out of Komoka, Ontario, Canada. They played in the Western Ontario Athletic Association Senior Hockey League. They folded in 2014 after winning the WOAA Sr. AA championship. History The Lucan Irish and the Ilderton Wildcats were members of the WOAA Intermediate league in the 1950s. In 1959, the teams merged to become the Lucan-Ilderton Combines. By 1968, the top tier of the WOAA joined the Ontario Hockey Association to form the Central Intermediate B Hockey League, with that the team changed its name to the Jets. In 1970, the Jets jumped to the Southern Counties Intermediate B Hockey League.
