Monitor (Mar Novu)
The Monitor or Over-Monitor, also known as Mar Novu, is a fictional character created by writer Marv Wolfman and artist George Pérez as one of the main characters of DC Comics' ''Crisis on Infinite Earths'' Limited series (comics), limited series. The character began appearing, along with his assistant Harbinger (DC comics), Lyla Michaels, in numerous DC Comics titles beginning in 1982, three years before the Crisis began in July 1985; these appearances made it seem that he was some sort of weapons dealer for supervillains. This was all part of the setup Wolfman and the staff of DC Comics planned for the Crisis, showing the Monitor currying favor with villains such as Maxie Zeus, prior to calling on the heroes. The Monitor was depicted in the shadows for all of his appearances in DC's mainstream superhero titles, and his face was first revealed in one of their few remaining non-superhero titles, the war comic ''G.I. George Pérez
George Pérez (; June 9, 1954 – May 6, 2022) was an American comic book artist and writer, who worked primarily as a penciller. He came to prominence in the 1970s penciling ''Fantastic Four'' and '' The Avengers'' for Marvel Comics. In the 1980s he penciled ''The New Teen Titans'', which became one of DC Comics' top-selling series. He penciled DC's landmark limited series ''Crisis on Infinite Earths'', followed by relaunching ''Wonder Woman'' as both writer and penciller for the rebooted series. In the meantime, he worked on other comics published by Marvel, DC, and other companies into the 2010s. He was known for his detailed and realistic rendering, and his facility with complex crowd scenes. Crisis On Infinite Earths (Arrowverse)
"Crisis on Infinite Earths" is the sixth Arrowverse crossover event, featuring episodes of the television series ''Supergirl'', ''Batwoman'', ''The Flash'', ''Arrow'', and ''Legends of Tomorrow'' on The CW. The ''Supergirl'', ''Batwoman'', and ''The Flash'' episodes aired in December 2019 while the ''Arrow'' and ''Legends of Tomorrow'' episodes aired in January 2020. The events of the ''Black Lightning'' episode " The Book of Resistance: Chapter Four: Earth Crisis" (which aired between ''Batwoman'' and ''The Flash'') and a two-issue comic book with characters and concepts unused in the live-action episodes also tied into the event. Geo-Force (Prince Brion Markov) is a fictional superhero character appearing in comic books published by DC Comics. Markov is the younger Prince Twin of Markovia and the elder brother of Terra. One of the founding members of the superhero group the Outsiders, he first appeared in a special insert in ''The Brave and the Bold'' #200 (July 1983). The character was created by Mike W. Barr and Jim Aparo. Firebrand (DC Comics)
Firebrand is a name of different characters appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. Fictional character biography Rod Reilly Published by Quality Comics from August 1941 to November 1942, Rod Reilly was the bored and wealthy socialite son of a steel tycoon, who decided to fight crime with his servant and friend, "Slugger" Dunn. Originally drawn by Reed Crandall, Firebrand appeared in ''Police Comics'', issues #1 through 13, at which time his series was canceled. Firebrand's costume consisted of a transparent shirt and red pants, with a bandana mask covering the top half of his face. He uses a lariat, and can climb buildings using vacuum cups. After DC purchased Quality Comics, Firebrand was largely left on the sidelines until the mid-1970s, when he joined the Freedom Fighters (comics), Freedom Fighters.
