Firebrand (DC Comics)
Firebrand is a name of different characters appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. Fictional character biography Rod Reilly Published by Quality Comics from August 1941 to November 1942, Rod Reilly was the bored and wealthy socialite son of a steel tycoon, who decided to fight crime with his servant and friend, "Slugger" Dunn. Originally drawn by Reed Crandall, Firebrand appeared in ''Police Comics'', issues #1 through 13, at which time his series was canceled. Firebrand's costume consisted of a transparent shirt and red pants, with a bandana mask covering the top half of his face. He uses a lariat, and can climb buildings using vacuum cups. After DC purchased Quality Comics, Firebrand was largely left on the sidelines until the mid-1970s, when he joined the Freedom Fighters (comics), Freedom Fighters. Quality Comics was an American comic book publishing company which operated from 1937 to 1956 and was a creative, influential force in what historians and fans call the Golden Age of Comic Books. Silver Ghost (comics)
Sand Demon Sand Demon is the name of a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. Eddie Slick is the manager of the wrestler King Crusher, and provided him with mutative steroids to win a match. However, Firestorm eventually defeated him while exposing the steroid operation in the process. Eddie was later exposed to the same drugs as his wrestler and buried in the Nevada Desert for exposing the drug ring behind the steroids leaving the gangsters broke. Developing the power to control sand, he sought revenge and crossed paths with Firestorm. Firestorm thought that Sand Demon was Martin Stein, who had become too crazy to reason with. "Crisis on Infinite Earths" is a 1985 American comic book crossover storyline published by DC Comics. The series, written by Marv Wolfman and pencilled by George Pérez, was first serialized as a 12-issue limited series from April 1985 to March 1986.
