Monilesaurus Rouxii
''Monilesaurus rouxii'', commonly known as Roux's forest lizard, Roux's forest calotes, or the forest blood sucker, is a species of arboreal, diurnal, agamid lizard, which is endemic to hills of peninsular India. In July 2018, it was proposed that the species should be transferred to the new genus ''Monilesaurus''. (''Monilesaurus rouxii'', new combination, p. 427). Etymology The specific name, ''rouxii'', is in honor of Jean Louis Florent Polydore Roux, who was a French painter and naturalist. Description ''M. rouxii'' can attain a total length (including tail) of up to , but is more common. Its body has an olive-brown color, with a lighter belly, a dark band along the side of the head on to the neck, and dark lines radiating from the eye. The limbs are slender, with elongated toes. André Marie Constant Duméril (1 January 1774 – 14 August 1860) was a French zoologist. He was professor of anatomy at the Muséum national d'histoire naturelle from 1801 to 1812, when he became professor of herpetology and ichthyology. His son Auguste Duméril was also a zoologist. Life André Marie Constant Duméril was born on 1 January 1774 in Amiens and died on 14 August 1860 in Paris. He became a doctor at a young age, obtaining, at 19 years, the ''prévot'' of anatomy at the medical school of Rouen. In 1800, he left for Paris and collaborated in the drafting of the comparative anatomy lessons of Georges Cuvier. Jean Louis Florent Polydore Roux (27 July 1792, Marseille −12 April 1833 , Bombay) was a French painter and naturalist. Jean-Louis-Florent-Polydore Roux was, from his childhood, interested in natural history and had a large insect collection. He was taught by Pierre André Latreille and Georges Cuvier at Académie des sciences de l'Institut de France in Paris and was in 1819 appointed curator of the Muséum d'histoire naturelle de Marseille. George Albert Boulenger
George Albert Boulenger (19 October 1858 – 23 November 1937) was a Belgian-British zoologist who described and gave scientific names to over 2,000 new animal species, chiefly fish, reptiles, and amphibians. Boulenger was also an active botanist during the last 30 years of his life, especially in the study of roses. Life Boulenger was born in Brussels, Belgium, the only son of Gustave Boulenger, a Belgian public notary, and Juliette Piérart, from Valenciennes.
