Monika Hess
Monika Hess (born 24 May 1964 in Stans) is a Swiss former alpine skier who competed in the 1984 Winter Olympics. Monika is a cousin of Erika Hess. She became 11th in the Slalom and 15th in the Giant Slalom in the 1984 Winter Olympics. In the FIS Alpine Skiing World Championships 1982 she was second placed (behind her cousin Erika) after the first leg but didn't finish the second leg. Engelberg
Engelberg (lit.: ''mountain of angel(s)'') is a village resort and a municipality in the canton of Obwalden in Switzerland. Besides the village of Engelberg, the municipality also includes the settlements of Grafenort, Oberberg and Schwand. The Council of States (german: Ständerat, french: Conseil des États, it, Consiglio degli Stati, rm, Cussegl dals Stadis) is the upper house of the Federal Assembly of Switzerland, with the National Council being the lower house. It comprises 46 members. Twenty of the country's cantons are represented by two Councillors each. Saint-Gervais-les-Bains () is a commune in the Haute-Savoie department in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, southeastern France. The village is best known for tourism and has been a popular holiday destination since the early 1900s. It has of pistes, the third largest domain exclusively in France, and is one of the least busy ski areas of its size. In 1892, two hundred people were killed when a water pocket in a glacier above the town suddenly burst open and caused flooding.
