Mojo Priest
''Mojo Priest'' is the second album by action film star Steven Seagal, following ''Songs from the Crystal Cave''. The album was released in April 2006 by Seagal's own Steamroller Productions company. In a move not seen with ''Songs from the Crystal Cave'', Seagal embarked on an extensive U.S. and international tour in support of the album. The first single "Alligator Ass" premiered on Los Angeles radio station KYSR on the "Jamie, Jack, and Stench" show. Reviews and ratings Allmusic panned the album stating, "all of this music takes itself so seriously that it borders on delusional excess...Seagal's guitar playing, despite showcasing his Les Paul on the cover, leaves plenty to be desired. Steven Seagal
Steven Frederic Seagal (; born April 10, 1952) is an American actor, screenwriter and martial artist. A 7th-dan black belt in aikido, he began his adult life as a martial arts instructor in Japan and eventually ended up running his father-in-law's dojo. He later moved to Los Angeles where he had the same profession. In 1988, Seagal made his acting debut in '' Above the Law''. By 1991, he had starred in four films. In 1992, he played Navy SEAL counter-terrorist expert Casey Ryback in '' Under Siege''. ''Songs from the Crystal Cave'' is the debut album from actor, musician, and martial artist Steven Seagal, released in 2005 on Nonsolo Blues and Warner Strategic Marketing. Seagal is credited with "Lead Vocals, Rhythm and Lead Guitar" and appears on the cover and throughout the liner notes emotively playing and posing with a guitar. The style can be described as "outsider country-meets- world music-meets-Aikido." Many of the songs reflect Seagal's esoteric Buddhist and spiritualist stance while also incorporating standard song tropes about relationships and other themes.
