Mohsen Sarhan
Mohsen Sarhan ( ar, محسن سرحان) (6 January 1914 in Port Said – 7 February 1993 in Cairo) was an Egyptian actor in multiple films and as part of the National Troupe. Biography One of his performances as part of the National Troupe received praise from ''The Scribe Arab Review''. Port Said ( ar, بورسعيد, Būrsaʿīd, ; grc, Πηλούσιον, Pēlousion) is a city that lies in northeast Egypt extending about along the coast of the Mediterranean Sea, north of the Suez Canal. Samiha Ayoub ( ar, سميحة أيوب) is an Egyptian actress known for her work on stage, in film and on television. In 2015, she received the Nile Award in the Arts, and in the same year, the large hall in the National Theater was named after her, in honour of her outstanding career in cinema and theater, and her contributions to the theatrical arts in Egypt. Biography Samiha Ayoub was born in Shubra, Cairo in 1932. She graduated from the Nun's School then joined the Acting Institute in 1952. Her breakthrough came after her role in Samara and ''Rabaa ElAdawya'' (radio series). She has been married three times, to actor Mohsen Sarhan, actor Mahmoud Morsy, and playwright Sa’ed Eddine Wihbe (Saad Eddin Wehbe). ''Howa wa Heya'', (“Him and Her”, “ هو و هي” ) is an Egyptian television drama, that aired for the first time during Ramadan in 1985. It featured many prominent contemporary artists in key roles, with movie stars Soad Hosni, in her sole television role, and Ahmed Zaki. The married couple drama, or dramas rather, were written by Sanaa al-Bisi and adapted by Salah Jahin into a screenplay in a rare anthology series in Egyptian television, where the same actors played different characters and storylines in each of its ten episodes. Hosni was awarded the Transtel (now part of Deutsch Welle) Prize at the African Union of Broadcasting conference in 1985 for her role in the series.
