Mohla Manpur District
Mohla-Manpur-Ambagarh Chowki district is one of the four new district in the state of Chhattisgarh, India announced by Bhupesh Baghel on 15 August 2021. It is carved out from existing Rajnandgaon district. Sub Division District is sub divided into five tehsils: # Ambagarh Chowki # Manpur # Mohla # Aundhi # Khadgaon Demographics At the time of the 2011 census, Mohla-Manpur district had a population of 283,947, of which 9,889 (3.49%) live in urban areas. Mohla-Manpur district has a sex ratio of 1027 females to 1000 males. Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes make up 20,722 (7.30%) and 179,662 (63.27%) of the population respectively. List Of Districts Of Chhattisgarh
Chhattisgarh, a state of India, has 33 administrative districts. At the time of separation from Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh originally had 16 districts. Two new districts: Bijapur and Narayanpur were carved out on May 11, 2007 and nine new districts on Jan 1, 2012. The new districts have been created by carving out the existing districts to facilitate more targeted, focused and closer administration. These districts have been named Sukma, Kondagaon, Balod, Bemetara, Baloda Bazar, Gariaband, Mungeli, Surajpur and Balrampur The district of Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi, was inaugurated on 10 February 2020. Halbi Language
Halbi (also Bastari, Halba, Halvas, Halabi, Halvi) is an Eastern Indo-Aryan language, transitional between Odia and Marathi. It is spoken by at least 766,297 people across the central part of India. The Mehari (or Mahari) dialect is mutually intelligible with the other dialects only with difficulty. There are an estimated 200,000 second-language speakers (as of 2001). In Chhattisgarh educated people are fluent in Hindi. Some first language speakers use Bhatri as second language. Halbi is often used as a trade language, but there is a low literacy rate. Gondi Language
Gondi () is a South-Central Dravidian language, spoken by about three million Gondi people, chiefly in the Indian states of Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and by small minorities in neighbouring states. Although it is the language of the Gond people, it is highly endangered, with only one fifth of Gonds speaking the language. Gondi has a rich folk literature, examples of which are marriage songs and narrations. Gondi people are ethnically related to the Telugus. Endangerment Although almost 13 million people returned themselves as Gonds on the 2011 census, however only 2.98 million recorded themselves as speakers of Gondi. The true number, however, is estimated to be several times higher, with some putting the figure as high as 20 million, because many Gondi speakers live in remote, Naxal-affected areas not reached by the census.
