Mohd Shukri Ramli
Mohd Shukri bin Ramli (born 6 February 1961) is a Malaysian politician who has served as the 10th Menteri Besar of Perlis since November 2022 and Member of the Perlis State Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Sanglang since May 2013. He served as Deputy Speaker of the assembly from 2013 to 2019. He is a member of the Malaysian Islamic Party (PAS), a component party of the ruling Perikatan Nasional (PN) coalition. The National Alliance ( ms, Perikatan Nasional; abbrev: PN) is a political coalition composed of the Malaysian United Indigenous Party (BERSATU), Malaysian Islamic Party (PAS) and Parti Gerakan Rakyat Malaysia (GERAKAN). This coalition was preceded by the Malaysian Party Alliance Association, also known as the ''Persatuan Perikatan Parti Malaysia (PPPM)''. Fathul Bari Mat Jahya is a Muslim lecturer and politician from Malaysia. Statements in the mainstream media Bari criticized Penang's then Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng for inciting that the word 'Allah' can be used by non-Muslims. The Gagasan Sejahtera (English: ''Ideas of Prosperity'', abbrev: GS) was a coalition of opposition Islamist political parties which promote the "ideas of peace" in Malaysia. The informal electoral pact was formed initially on 16 March 2016 by Pan-Malaysian Islamic Party (PAS) and Parti Ikatan Bangsa Malaysia (IKATAN) as a ''Third Force'' to face both ruling Barisan Nasional (BN) and the opposition Pakatan Harapan (PH) coalitions in the upcoming 2018 Malaysian general election (GE14).
