Mohammadou Idrissou
Mohamadou Idrissou (born 8 March 1980) is a Cameroonian former professional footballer who played as a striker. Club career On the last day of the summer transfer window 2011, Idrissou moved to 2. Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt. Having contributed 14 goals to Eintracht Frankfurt's return to the Bundesliga in 2011–12, Idrissou unexpectedly signed for 2. Bundesliga team 1. FC Kaiserslautern on 27 July 2012. On 21 May 2014, he signed with Israeli side Maccabi Haifa. He was waived by the team on 13 November 2014. In the following winter-break he moved to the Republic of Macedonia where he signed with FK Shkëndija. In 2015 he moved back to Germany to KFC Uerdingen 05. After two years he moved to Union Hallein. During the summer transfer period 2018 he moved to Austria to FC Kufstein. In October 2020, Idrissou signed for Viktoria Griesheim in the fifth-tier Hessenliga. He retired from football in 2021. SC Viktoria 06 Griesheim is a German football club based in Griesheim, Hesse. History Founded in 1906 the club enjoyed some of its best seasons through the 70s and 80s. In 1973 they advanced to the Landesliga Hessen-Süd (IV) and in their fourth season of play there emerged as champions to earn promotion to the Oberliga Hessen (III). Three seasons later in 1980–81, ''Viktoria Griesheim'' claimed the championship in that division, in a year when no promotion places were available to the Oberliga champions. That was the pinnacle as the club's achievement as they began a slide that led to an 18th-place finish and relegation in 1988. ''Griesheim'' returned to the Oberliga for a single season appearances in 1991 and 2004, but both campaigns also ended in a last place finish and relegation. The 2008 Africa Cup of Nations, also known as the MTN Africa Cup of Nations due to the competition's sponsorship by MTN, was the 26th edition of the Africa Cup of Nations, the biennial football tournament for nations affiliated to the Confederation of African Football (CAF). The tournament was staged at four venues around Ghana between 20 January and 10 February 2008. This was the last Africa Cup of Nations to use the old CAF logo. 2003 FIFA Confederations Cup
The 2003 FIFA Confederations Cup football tournament was the sixth FIFA Confederations Cup, held in France in June 2003. France retained the title they had won in 2001, but the tournament was overshadowed by the death of Cameroon player Marc-Vivien Foé, who died of heart failure in his side's semi-final against Colombia. Foé's death united the France and Cameroon teams in the final match, which was played even though team players from both sides had explicitly stated that the match should not be played out of respect for Foé. France went on to win the trophy with a golden goal from Thierry Henry. At the presentation of medals and trophies, two Cameroon players held a gigantic photo of Foé, and a runner-up medal was hung to the edge of the photo. The Hessenliga (until 2008 ''Oberliga Hessen'') is the highest football league in the state of Hesse and the Hessian football league system. It is one of fourteen Oberligas in German football, the fifth tier of the German football league system. Until the introduction of the 3. Liga in 2008 it was the fourth tier of the league system, until the introduction of the Regionalligas in 1994 the third tier. Overview The league was formed in 1945 and except for its first two seasons it has always played as one single division. The league was called Landesliga-Hessen until 1950 and actually formed the second tier of southern German football.
