Mohammad Haroon
Vice Admiral Mohammad Haroon (Urdu: ) is a retired three-star rank admiral in the Pakistan Navy and a defence analyst, writing in the ''Express Tribune''. In 2005, Admiral Haroon was notably superseded by Vice-Admiral Afzal Tahir to the appointment of Chief of Naval Staff as a four-star admiral but continued his service until he reached his set retirement date. Biography Mohammad Haroon was born in Lahore, Punjab, initially belonging a village, Alowal, located in District Toba Tek Singh, into a military family; his father served in the Pakistan Army, retiring as major. Vice Admiral (Pakistan)
Vice Admiral (abbreviated as VADM) is a three-star commissioned armed flag officer rank in the Pakistan Navy, coast guards, and marines awarded by the Government of Pakistan to rear admirals as a position advancement in uniformed service. Toba Tek Singh District
Toba Tek Singh District ( Punjabi and ur, ) is a district of Faisalabad Division in the Punjab province of Pakistan. It is located between 30°33' to 31°2' Degree north latitudes and 72°08' to 72°48' Degree longitudes. It became a separate district in 1982. Etymology The city and district is named after a Sikh religious figure Tek Singh. Legend has it that Tek Singh, a kind-hearted man served water and provided shelter to the worn out and thirsty travelers passing by a small pond ("TOBA" in Punjabi) which eventually was called Toba Tek Singh, and the surrounding settlement acquired the same name. Alowal is a village in Toba Tek Singh District in the Punjab, Pakistan. It is 16 km in North West of Toba Tek Singh, accessible by a good metalled road. It is sandwiched between ''Jhang Toba road'' and Akalwala road. The M-4 Motorway is 6 km from Alowal.
