Mohammad-Hossein Moeinpour
Mohammad-Hossein Moeinpour ( fa, محمدحسین معینپور) was an Iranian military officer. He served as the commander of the Air Force from 2 October 1981 to 25 November 1983. He was a Major at the time appointed to the office, however, he was promoted two ranks and became a colonel to qualify the position. He resigned due to health reasons, however according to Pierre Razoux, Moeinpour was dismissed for his "excessive caution" and for a string of defections of pilots under his command. Amir ( fa, امير), previously known as Timsar ( fa, تيمسار), is the Honorific, honorific title used for Officer (armed forces), officer of highest military ranks, high rank, ranking Second brigadier general (Iran), 2nd Brigadier General and higher in the Islamic Republic of Iran Army. Javad Fakoori
Javad Fakoori ( fa, جواد فکوری, 3 January 1936 – 29 September 1981) was a prominent military figure who served as the 4th defence minister of Iran in September 1980 to August 1981. Career Fakoori was a commander of the Islamic Republic of Iran Air Force at the rank of colonel. He entered the Iranian Air Force in 1958 as a fighter pilot of the F-100. He later qualified on the F-4 fighter-bomber in 1967. He commanded a flight, squadron, wing and group of F-4 aircraft during the Pahlavi regime. In 1978, he was promoted to colonel and stationed in Tehran as a staff officer. Despite the fact that one of his cousins was a leading member of the MEK and had sought asylum in Sweden in 1980, he had the confidence of Khomeini and Rafsanjani. Houshang Seddigh
Houshang Seddigh ( fa, هوشنگ صدیق; 8 February 1948 – 8 July 2020) was an Iranian fighter pilot. He served as the commander of the Islamic Republic of Iran Air Force, Air Force from 1983 to 1986. Seddigh ranked colonel when he was appointed to the position on 28 November 1983. According to Pierre Razoux, he was more dynamic than his predecessor Mohammad-Hossein Moeinpour and enjoyed the confidence of the Iranian establishment. Seddigh was replaced by Mansour Sattari in 1986. He died of COVID-19 in Tehran, Seddigh was 72.
