Mohamed Harouna
Mohamed Salem Ould Harouna, familiarly known as Sneïdry (born 1950 in Atar) is a Mauritanian footballer and coach. After completing graduate study in Algiers and CREPS Reims, Haroun was a professor at the ''Centre National de Formation des Cadres de la Jeunesse et des Sports'' (CNFCJS) in Nouakchott. From 1982 to 1983, he coached the Mauritania national football team. From 1984 to 1988 he was director of studies at CNFCJS. From 1988 to 1990, Sneïdry was director of physical education and sports. He led a rich sporting career. Sneïdry was university champion in 1975 in Algeria (100 m and long jump). Atar, Mauritania
Atar ( ar, أطار, Berber for ''mountain'') is a town in northwestern Mauritania, the capital of the Adrar Region and the main settlement on the Adrar Plateau. Situated on the oued Seguellil, it is home to an airport, a museum and a historic mosque, constructed in 1674. In 2013 it had a population of 25,190. Geology and geography The Adrar's mountains are from the primary era against the precambrian Tiris Zemmour. Near Atar, you can find stromatolites. In the North, you can find Choum with the train that comes from Nouadhibou and goes to Zouerate. The Mauritania national football team ( ar, منتخب موريتانيا لكرة القدم), nicknamed Al-Murabitun in the reference to Almoravid dynasty, represents Mauritania in men's international football. It is controlled by the Fération de Football de la République Islamique de Mauritanie, and is a member of the Confederation of African Football. They have not qualified for the FIFA World Cup. However, in the Amílcar Cabral Cup, a regional tournament for West Africa, Mauritania came forth in 1980 on hosting the competition. Air Mauritanie was the national airline of Mauritania from 1962 until it ceased operations in 2007 due to financial difficulties.
