Mohamad Aziz
Mohamad bin Aziz (29 July 1940 – 24 December 2020) was the Member of the Parliament of Malaysia for the Sri Gading constituency in the state of Johor from 1999 to 2013. He sat in Parliament as a member of the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO) party in the governing Barisan Nasional coalition. From 1981 to 1986 Mohamad served as an assistant to Hussein Onn, a former Prime Minister of Malaysia. Mohamad was a member of the Executive Council (akin to a State Cabinet) of Johor from 1990 to 1995 and the Johor State Government Information Chief from 1995 to 1999. In 1999 he was elected to Parliament for the Sri Gading constituency. Mohamad caused controversy in 2009 when he called for two ministers in his Barisan Nasional government to resign. The Malay language has a complex system of Style (manner of address), styles, titles and honorifics which are used extensively in Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, and the southern Philippines. Aziz Kaprawi
Datuk Ab Aziz bin Kaprawi (born 24 July 1959) is a Malaysian politician. He was the Johor State Legislative Assembly member for the constituency of Parit Raja from 2004 to 2013 and Member of Parliament for Sri Gading in Johor from 2013 until 2018. He was the Deputy Minister of Transport in the Malaysian cabinet. He is a member of United Malay National Organisation (UMNO), a major component party in the Barisan Nasional (BN) coalition. New Straits Times
The ''New Straits Times'' is an English-language newspaper published in Malaysia. It is Malaysia's oldest newspaper still in print (though not the first), having been founded as ''The Straits Times'' on 15 July 1845. It was relaunched as the ''New Straits Times'' on 13 August 1974. The paper served as Malaysia's only broadsheet format English-language newspaper. Dato' Ambiga Sreenevasan ( ta, அம்பிகா சீனிவாசன், Ampikā cīṉivācaṉ; born 1956) is a prominent Malaysian lawyer and human rights advocate, and one of eight recipients of the US International Women of Courage Award in 2009. She was the president of the Malaysian Bar Council from 2007 to 2009, and co-chairperson of Bersih, an NGO coalition advocating free and fair elections. She currently serves on the executive committee of the Women's Aid Organisation, and is on the Bar Council Special Committee on the rights of the indigenous Orang Asli people. Hussein Onn
Tun Hussein bin Dato' Onn ( ms, حسين بن عون, label= Jawi, script=arab, italic=unset; 12 February 1922 – 29 May 1990) was a Malaysian lawyer and politician who served as the 3rd Prime Minister of Malaysia from the death of his predecessor Abdul Razak Hussein in January 1976 to his retirement in July 1981. 2004 Malaysian General Election
A general election was held on Sunday, 21 March 2004 for members of the 11th Parliament of Malaysia. Voting took place in all 219 parliamentary constituencies of Malaysia, each electing one Member of Parliament to the Dewan Rakyat, the dominant house of Parliament. This is first election for Abdullah as Prime Minister since appointed for this position in 2003. Sri Gading or Seri Gading is a mukim and parliamentary constituency in Batu Pahat District, Johor, Malaysia, located along Jalan Batu Pahat-Kluang ( Federal Route 50). It lies south-east of Batu Pahat town, north-west of Ayer Hitam and west of Yong Peng. It is also a name of one of 14 parishes in Johor, Sri Gading parish. Name The name Seri Gading means 'The Gorgeous Ivory' in Malay. The origin of this name can be traced back to the time when Sultan Ibrahim hunts an elephant at this place, and was impressed by the luster of the ivory. The National Concord ( ms, Muafakat Nasional; abbrev: MN) was a Malaysian political coalition that was formed between the Malaysian Islamic Party (PAS) and United Malays National Organisation (UMNO) against the then-ruling Pakatan Harapan (PH) coalition which had came into power after the 2018 Malaysian general election (GE14).
