Mogra Railway Station
Mogra railway station is a Kolkata Suburban Railway station on the Howrah–Bardhaman main line operated by Eastern Railway zone of Indian Railway. It is situated beside Polba Road, Alikhoja, Mogra in Hooghly district in the Indian state of West Bengal. All EMU and passenger trains stops at Mogra railway station. The construction work of third line between Bandel and Bardhaman is completed for which a new platform(1) is created. Mogra-Katwa line connecting Magra on Howrah–Bardhaman Main line with Tribeni on Bandel–Katwa line is also there. As of now it is only use for goods train transport. Another line from Tarwakeshwar to Magra via Dhaniakhali is also in development. Magra will be transferred to Magra Junction soon after the development of the Magra-Tarakeshwar line via Dhaniakhali. Kolkata Suburban Railway
The Kolkata Suburban Railway is a suburban rail system serving the Kolkata metropolitan area and its surroundings in India. It is the largest suburban railway network in the country with the highest number of stations. It is also the 7th largest suburban rail system in the world. There are five main lines and nineteen branch lines. The suburban railway operates more than 1,500 services, carrying 3.5 million people daily and 1.2 billion people every year. Mogra (or ''Magra'') is a gram panchayat, or village, which is home to the headquarters of the Chinsurah-Mogra community development block in the Chinsurah subdivision of the Hooghly district in the Indian state of West Bengal. Hooghly District
Hooghly district () is one of the districts of the Indian state of West Bengal. It can alternatively be spelt ''Hoogli'' or ''Hugli''. The district is named after the Hooghly River. EMU (train)
An electric multiple unit or EMU is a multiple-unit train consisting of self-propelled carriages using electricity as the motive power. An EMU requires no separate locomotive, as electric traction motors are incorporated within one or a number of the carriages. Bandel Junction Railway Station
Bandel Junction railway station is one of the junction stations of the Kolkata Suburban Railway network, India. It is situated on the Howrah–Bandel–Barddhaman main line in Hooghly district with an approximate distance from Howrah railway station. The station is operated by the Howrah railway division. There are seven platforms (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7) at Bandel Junction station. However, platform number 6 can accommodate only the 9-coach EMU trains so most of the 9-coach Bandel–Naihati locals depart from that platform.
